Lucas (JM de Guzman) schemes with Marco (Race Matias) and Yuri, faking his hospitalization to lure Edong (Jake Cuenca). The three men, alongside Erica (Kaila Estrada), Beth (Charlie Dizon), Alice (Janella Salvador), and Mel (Sue Ramirez), are all fully aware that Edong deeply cares about Lucas despite the complications surrounding their relationship.
The fabricated hospitalization is made believable by Lucas' involvement in Mel and Anton's (Jameson Blake) abusive marriage controversy, after Anton publicly exposes Mel's past affair with Lucas.
After their plan fails, Lucas and Yuri begin packing to leave the premises for the night, only for Edong to appear unannounced and take Yuri hostage.
A flashback ensues, revealing that Edong overheard the hospital staff discussing how they were not permitted to approach Room 302, where Lucas was supposedly staging a critical condition to get Edong's attention.
Back in the present, Lucas tries to calm Edong, but to no avail—Edong's hurt over Lucas' betrayal runs too deep. Even when Lucas brings up Edong's growing list of victims, from the unjust Celestino (Bart Guingona) to the innocent Steve (Christian Ty), Edong insists his mission is to make sure these people pay for their sins against him.
Now completely unstoppable in his rage, Edong vows once more to kill anyone who has been manipulating Lucas. Even as Lucas desperately voices that he wants to help, Edong remains firm to be Lucas' savior, even if the whole of Amurao will suffer.
To seal his irreversible conviction, Edong stabs Yuri, laughing wickedly afterward.
