Round two of the weeklong ‘LigTask’ battle came in hot! The housemates were 'no chill' as they pushed to score big, as seen in the January 22 episode of "Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0."
With Solid Six (Carmelle Collado, Joaquin Arce, Heath Jornales, Eliza Borromeo, Sofia Pablo, and Caprice Cayetano) already racking up 8 points from the first 'LigTask,' the Striving Feathers team (Ashley Sarmiento, Lella Ford, Marco Masa, Princess Aliyah, Miguel Vergara, and Krystal Mejes) were even more fired up to boost their 4-point standing.
But, before anything else, all housemates huddled up for a prayer and did some warm-up stretches together, just in case the second 'LigTask' would get physical.
Well, Gen Z instincts on point! For the second 'LigTask' challenge, the two groups had to transfer wooden shapes in relay style. Starting at point A, each duo from the group had to grip a wooden shape using two sticks, then walk to the passing area to hand it off to the next pair, until the final tandem places it on the finish line. Each successfully transferred wooden shape was worth 2 points, and they were given two hours to transfer as many as possible.
First up for Striving Feathers were Miguel and Marco, who passed the shape to Krystal and Ashley, with Princess and Lella bringing it home at the finish line.
While Striving Feathers figured out their rhythm fast, Solid Six had a rough start. Their first duo, Carmelle and Sofia, struggled to lift the heavy wooden shape, prompting a lineup change. They switched to Heath and Joaquin as the starting pair, who passed it to Caprice and Eliza. Everything went smoothly until it reached Carmelle and Sofia again. The wooden shape slipped as Sofia felt weakness in her arm, just like in previous tasks. Meanwhile, Striving Feathers also had to reset when Krystal and Ashley dropped theirs.
Fifteen minutes in, Striving Feathers finally secured their first shape and quickly picked up momentum, jumping to 6 point. Meanwhile, Solid Six was also able to spark their own comeback as they scored their first shape after getting stuck longer.
With just 30 minutes left, both teams were just racing against the clock, totally unaware of each other’s scores. Striving Feathers had the early lead but pressure started creeping in—Princess, in particular, seemed extra tense.
Two hours in, Solid Six was happy to get 182 points, but Striving Feathers was even happier with 206 points. However, there was still a chance for the other group to catch up in a special round where the wooden shape would now be carried by trios. This only took one round and whichever group finished first would earn 10 points.
The special round required solid strategy and cranked up the young housemates' adrenaline. Both groups started almost at the same level of progress but Solid Six dropped their shape and seemed to struggle to recover from there, as they appeared to have trouble agreeing on a strategy. As Sofia put, "Sobrang gulo po namin." The group's leader, Carmelle, later revealed in the confession room that she had been keeping an eye on Joaquin, who she felt was rushing too much.
While Solid Six was in chaos, Striving Feathers managed to place their shapes, earning them the additional 10 points. At the end of the second ‘LigTask,’ Solid Six now has 190 points, while Striving Feathers has 218 points.
Both groups don't want to act too complacent, though, as the third ‘LigTask’ might just be anyone’s game to claim.
