The housemates of "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0" became instruments in promoting Filipino culture and the arts as they proudly showcased traditional Filipino folk dances.
The housemates faced their 12th weekly task called “Sayaw sa Filipiniana,” where they had to train for and perform three traditional dances—'Maglalatik' for the boys, 'Binasuan' for the girls, and 'Sayaw sa Bangko' which was done as a group. To succeed in the weekly task, they must not commit more than ten errors during the performance.
It was refreshing to see the Gen Z housemates showing appreciation for Filipino culture through dance. First up were the girls with Binasuan, which they delivered gracefully, despite one mistake when a glass fell from Princess Aliyah’s head.
Maglalatik was a clean run for the boys—no mistake at all. But Sayaw sa Bangko was definitely the hardest. Thankfully, their trainers from the UP Filipiniana Dance Group were patient. The coaching team also reminded the housemates that this wasn’t just an ordinary dance, but one that represents the soul of the Philippines.
And after the performance, Big Brother announced that aside from the mistake in Binasuan, the housemates also had some missteps in Sayaw sa Bangko, which brought the total to four.
The housemates passed their 12th weekly task! They were happy to have earned their weekly budget, and even more glad that they became instruments in promoting Filipino culture and arts.
Also one of the most anticipated moments last week was the 'Big Wildcard' round where two Kapuso and two Kapamilya ex-housemates topped the voting—Marco Masa and Anton Vinzon for the Kapuso bracket, and Eliza Borromeo and Rave Victoria for Kapamilya. And after an intense 1-on-1 task (Marco vs. Anton and Eliza vs. Rave), Marco and Eliza emerged victorious and were officially reinstated as housemates.
While some made a comeback, others had to say goodbye. John Clifford and Fred Moser were the latest evictees of the season.
