With the chaos surrounding Bianca’s disappearance and the allegations against Liezel (Mary Joy Apostol) as her supposed kidnapper finally dying down, Beth (Charlie Dizon) quietly joins a session at Banal na Alon Christian Church, where Pastor Samuel urges Liezel to deliver a statement to clear her name.
As Liezel steps onto the stage, she has more in mind than simply defending herself. While she addresses Bianca’s case, she draws parallels to the past—particularly to Louisa (Mutya Orquia)—recalling how the town once tarnished Louisa’s name even during her time alive and long after her death.
Liezel delivers another heartbreaking revelation: despite Louisa having nearly been abused, the townspeople still sided with her perpetrator, going so far as to claim that Louisa deserved to be murdered.
Throughout all of this, Louisa remained strong, allowing Liezel to truly know her beyond the fabricated stories that surrounded her misunderstood life. Through her connection with Louisa, Liezel came to recognize how she herself had grown up confined by fear and shame—especially under the watchful eyes of her father, Pastor Samuel, who was fixated on controlling every aspect of her life.
Liezel goes on to share that it was Louisa who taught her how to be brave, to think for herself, and ultimately to understand that love can take many forms. Her decision to help Bianca, she explains, went beyond her role as a caring teacher; it was driven by the fact that she saw both herself and Louisa in Bianca.Before revealing the full truth, Liezel looks at her son, Joshua (Lawrence dela Cruz), and recalls their earlier conversation, when she confessed that she once loved a girl like Louisa. To Joshua, that kind of love was never a bad thing at all—and that simple acceptance gives Liezel the strength she needs to be true to herself.
In his anger, Pastor Samuel attempts to take the microphone from Liezel, but she resists, declaring that there is no wrong kind of love. She challenges the congregation, asking that if the youth can be brave and accepting, why can’t she—or anyone else—do the same?
For Angelo, Liezel explains that her love never faded—it simply changed shape over time. She acknowledges how he made her stronger and asks if he can still accept her so they can start anew, free from secrets and emotional baggage.
When Pastor Samuel intervenes, berating Liezel as an embarrassment and a flirt, and even comparing her to Louisa as a “demon,” Angelo steps in to protect her. Yet Liezel remains fearless, declaring that Louisa deserved more respect and love than Pastor Samuel, her own father.
