Jennifer Lopez proves that true icons never fade. And on “Your Face Sounds Familiar,' our favorite Ka-Familiars brought their own take on JLo’s hits. Here are 5 Jennifer Lopez transformations on the “YFSF” stage that made us dance like it’s JLo’s concert.
Xia Vigor (YFSF Kids Season 1, 2017) - “Let's Get Loud”
Xia Vigor, from her cutesy transformations, turned into a diva onstage, performing JLo’s hit “Let’s Get Loud.” She served vocals and dance moves like the pop icon.
After her performance, the judges could not help but gush over Xia. Judge Sharon Cuneta said, “Gayang-gaya mo talaga ‘yung galaw ni JLo, ‘yung kanyang gigil… very good performance, Xia," praising the young star.
Judge Gary Valenciano highlighted how Xia applied everything she learned from the mentoring session. Lastly, Judge Ogie Alcasid praised Xia’s performance, saying, “Ang gusto ko sa’yo, hindi mo ginagamit ‘yung pagka-cute mo. Nagpe-perform ka talaga.” He was proud of Xia and her outstanding performance.
Xia placed 5th at the end of the season.
Sheena Belarmino (YFSF Kids Season 2, 2018) - “On The Floor”
It definitely felt like Jennifer Lopez herself had entered the “YFSF” stage when Sheena Belarmino came out to perform the classic “On the Floor.” Clad in silver overalls, Sheena delivered strong vocals and showed off her JLo-inspired moves, earning loud cheers from the crowd.
Coach Jed Madela described Sheena’s performance as “fierce,” noting how she carried it with high energy just like JLo. “Na-capture mo kaming lahat, not just because of your performance, but because of your face,” he said, also praising how Sheena maintained her connection with the audience throughout.
For Judge Ogie Alcasid, it was Sheena’s best performance yet, highlighting how entertaining it was. “Hinahanap ko ‘yung JLo, lahat ng nuances niya, you did it with flying colors,” he added. Meanwhile, Judge Sharon Cuneta---an avid fan of JLo---shared that she knows every nuance and detail of JLo’s stage presence, and Sheena was able to capture all of them in her performance.
Sheena placed 4th at the end of the season.
Denise Laurel (YFSF Season 2, 2015) - “On The Floor”
Denise Laurel brought electrifying energy to the stage as she performed “On the Floor.” Singing live while nailing JLo’s signature moves, Denise embodied the sass of a total performer. The hype was undeniable---from the judges to her fellow Ka-Familiars and the audience---it felt like a party led by JLo herself.
“You are so beautiful,” Judge Sharon Cuneta was moved by how Denise managed to sing and dance at the same time. “You did a pretty good job in your dancing and singing… ka-boses mo siya [JLo],” she added.
Judge Gary Valenciano was equally impressed, remarking, “I think all the others have to watch out for you.” Meanwhile, Coach Jed Madela summed up Denise’s transformation into JLo in one word: “Effortless.” He noted how Denise didn’t need prosthetics to nail JLo’s look, adding, “Even the way you move was very JLo.”
Denise was the grand winner of the season.
Geneva Cruz (YFSF Season 3, 2021) - “On The Floor”
Performing “On the Floor,” Geneva Cruz unleashed her inner popstar as she set the stage on fire with her performance. Later on, Geneva revealed that she had missed performing, and it was evident as she poured all her energy into the number.
Judge Gary Valenciano was delighted to see Geneva back onstage, noting how challenging it must have been to sing live while dancing, yet she managed to control her voice to sound like JLo’s. Judge Ogie Alcasid even gave her a standing ovation, saying, “You exude a lot of sensuality… that’s how JLo is. Bumagay [sa’yo].”
Judge Sharon Cuneta emphasized Geneva’s natural talent, pointing out her roots in a family of gifted artists. “It was so impressive. When your voice shifted, you sounded like [JLo] at one point… the moves, the confidence, the JLo walk.” She was definitely hands down for Geneva’s performance.
Geneva placed 7th at the end of the season.
Dia Mate (YFSF Season 4, 2026) - “Papi”
The spirit of JLo lived on through Dia Mate, who lit up the stage with her performance of the hit “Papi.” Dia brought the moves, vocals, and Latina energy of JLo. After her performance, she revealed how much preparation she put in, especially in singing, to match JLo’s energy.
Guest Judge Erik Santos opened the critiques, emphasizing how difficult it is to sing and dance at the same time. “Na-appreciate ko na parehong nagawa ni Dia ‘yung singing and dancing. Bukod sa kuhang-kuha ‘yung sexiness ni JLo… overall, ang ganda,” he said.
Judge Sharon Cuneta acknowledged that transforming into Jennifer Lopez was not easy, but Dia took on the challenge and gave an amazing performance. Lastly, Judge Gary Valenciano praised Dia, “Meron kang mga moments kung saan nakita ko si [JLo].” He highlighted how Dia captured the look, physique, and youthful energy of the pop icon.
Truly, Jennifer Lopez is a pop icon whose music will never be forgotten. The remarkable energy she brings to every performance continues to inspire, and the “YFSF” stage proudly celebrates her legacy.
