If there’s anyone who truly knows the “Sparks Camp” Season 3 participants, it’s none other than their “Mother Sparker,” Mela Habijan. So, to prove how well she really knows them, Kapamilya Chat asked her to take on the Sparks Giving Challenge, where she had to go through a list of who’s-who questions and reveal which camper best matched each description.
First up on the list: best hugs. For Mela, that’s hands down Kim. "Ang warm ng hugs niya," she said, adding that whenever they bump into each other, Kim’s way of saying 'hi' is never complete without a hug.
She didn't have to think twice when asked who's the most competitive camper. It's none other than Edward. "He made sure that he was in the final round," gushed Mela, who got so used to seeing Edward’s “game on” face in camp.
And then Harold would take the crown as the most straightforward camper. "Pinupuksa ako n'yan... Kahit ako," laughed Mela. But that’s exactly what she appreciates about Harold—his honesty and his courage to say what’s on his mind. "It's not easy to say your thoughts pero ang bilis niya bumanat."
Ants, according to Mela, is the one she’d choose for serious, soul-baring conversations. "I feel like we're connected in a sense na pwede ko siyang tapikin kapag kailangan niya ng tapik. Kung kailangn niya ng yakap, yayakapin ko siya. Kung kailangan niya ng makikinig, makikinig lang ako," she shared.
She would give the “most dramatic” title to Julio, whom the group has jokingly dubbed the Drama King, though she would rather describe him as poetic, given his background in writing, "He likes expressing his emotions through words, so it's not dramatic per se but poetic."
Asked who she finds the most attractive in terms of brains, Mela thought of Andrew. He was the first camper she ever talked to, and she instantly knew he had that “deep thinker” aura.
And then she burst into laughter when asked who she finds most attractive physically, confessing that her ultimate weakness is a good set of armpits. With that as her standard, she picked Edward, Joer and Ants.
But before anyone takes it too seriously, 'Mother' Mela’ clarifies that all the campers are like her family. The truth is she prefers older men, saying she once dated a 65-year-old and loved every minute of their conversations.
