Following the press conference facilitated by the Quiapo Police, wherein Miguelito (Jake Cuenca) and Roberto (Albert Martinez) presented the members of the “Montenegro Drug Syndicate”, whom they were able to nab during the raid at their mansion earlier that day, Patrolwoman Paula “Ponggay” Garcia (Maris Racal) couldn’t help but be dismayed by what she just learned about Tanggol (Coco Martin).
Apparently, she was among the Manileños who rooted for him in the recently concluded elections, hoping that he would be the one to bring peace, change, and progress to their city. But, based on the pronouncements of Miguelito about him—which she easily believed—Tanggol is just like other traditional politicians that we know.
With the presumption that all politicians are just the same, Ponggay couldn’t help but ponder that maybe her dream of helping underserved people and fixing the corrupt system is already far-fetched and pointless.
But her bestie-slash-colleague, Patrolwoman Chona Vasquez (Via Antonio), reminded her to use that as a motivation to work hard in catching Tanggol. Ponggay agreed and vowed that they would make him and his friends pay for their transgressions of the law.
