Olivia (Chanda Romero) may have managed to escape from Miguelito (Jake Cuenca), but Roberto (Albert Martinez) was able to catch her. Weak, wounded, and defenseless, she heeded his command for her to turn to him slowly and drop her gun, as Roberto went on to confront her for previously trying to have him killed.
She reasoned out that she was only forced to do it in order for her to reach for her dreams and to obtain Don Gustavo’s (Dante Rivero) approval. She even tried to get her sympathy by telling Roberto that he was the only one she had left and by recounting the times when they were still on each other’s side, with him always defending her from Don Gustavo.
As Miguelito arrived on the scene, Olivia warned Roberto that Don Gustavo wouldn’t see his worth anymore now that his favorite son is already the mayor of Manila and that he would get rid of him like a trash just like what he did to her and their mom, Doña Pilar (Celia Rodriguez).
Miguelito heard everything she said, so he reminded Roberto of how she tried to assassinate him and exposed him in public in his attempt to trigger him to shoot her. But since there’s still love and sympathy left in him for her, Roberto found it hard to pull the trigger on her and moved backwards. She took advantage of the moment and quickly grabbed her gun, but Miguelito was faster than her and shot her twice in the chest.
Roberto stopped Miguelito as he was about to shoot Olivia once more and immediately cradled her in his arms. Before taking her last breath, she advised his “little brother” to stay vigilant because she was certain that he was going to be the next target of Miguelito.
