At OK Hospital, Nanay Li (Rio Locsin) warmly attends to their guest, Vincent (Enchong Dee), who enjoys her cooking with much delight. She explains that it’s her way of making up for the “trouble” Gemma (Kaori Oinuma) caused him the night she got drunk at a karaoke bar, when Vincent happened to be there and ended up taking her safely home.
Vincent nearly chokes on his food when Nanay Li casually admits they considered reporting him, but she eventually saw him as a good man for making sure Gemma was unharmed. Seizing the woman's sincerity, Vincent brings up a favor, which, the ever-helpful Nanay Li doesn’t hesitate to entertain.
The scene cuts to the kitchen, where Gemma fumes upon learning that her mother agreed to let Vincent rent a room in their compound. Clearly, she doesn’t want to cross paths with him again. Nanay Li tries to reason with her daughter, reminding her that Vincent’s gesture of bringing her home that night deserves a little kindness in return. She even teases Gemma, asking if her resistance is out of embarrassment—or if it’s because she’s secretly conscious around Vincent, perhaps having a crush on him, and then jokes that there’s nothing wrong if Gemma decides to “sumakabilang-pogi.”
Gemma denies having any feelings for Vincent. With that, Nanay Li settles the matter, saying there’s no harm in letting him stay since they can always send him off if he proves to be a bad tenant. The only problem, however, is that there isn’t an available room at the moment.
