Still shocked by what she and her family went through again because of the ruthless Guerrero family, Tindeng (Charo Santos) had an emotional discussion with Marites (Cherry Picache) and Tanggol (Coco Martin) about how vicious and treacherous the Guerreros have always been.
As Marites confessed that she went up to them to ask for a ceasefire from them in exchange for the real estate documents that Don Gustavo had given Tindeng decades ago, Tindeng and Tanggol both told her that it would never happen since the Guerreros are going to do everything in order to stay in power. And this is exactly the reason why Tanggol decided to run for the mayoralty seat, so that he can stop them from dominating the city again.
Tindeng related to him that the real reason why she was not in favor of his plan to join politics and discouraged him from doing it was not only because she didn’t trust Tanggol but also because she was just concerned with his safety.
After he explained to Tindeng his motivations for going against the Guerreros, she apparently felt his sincerity in serving the people and went on to express that she would be with him every step of the way. She promised to join him in his crusade against corruption and thought that the time had indeed already come for them to avenge every bad thing that they’d done to their family and the people around them.
In return, Tanggol vowed to not let the Guerreros win and dominate anew in the City of Manila, as well as to also have them pay for destroying their family and lives. As Tindeng mentioned that she completely believes in him and his capability to lead their city, they exchanged a tight and warm embrace.
