Fresh from their history-making win in the “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition” Big Night at the New Frontier Theater on July 5, PBB’s first-ever Big Winner Duo BreKa —Brent Manalo and Mika Salamanca—were all smiles and full of excitement when we caught up with them right after the show.
Clad in sophisticated purple garbs that made them look every inch like royalty, the two excitedly shared what they’re planning to do now that they’re finally out of Bahay Ni Kuya, where they hope to spend their prize money, and what they’ll miss most about their unforgettable stint as housemates.
BreKa’s first agenda after “PBB” is to enjoy the cravings they didn't get to eat because of their tight weekly house budget. And of course, everything would taste so much better when shared with the people they missed the most, from family and friends to their “PBB” batchmates. They’re already looking forward to get-togethers with their fellow Big 4 duos and the housemates who were evicted earlier in the season. Mika also can’t wait for all the ‘chikahan’ moments with her fellow ex-housemates, this time without her lapel mic.
As the Big Winner Duo, Brent and Mika will get to take home one million pesos each, which they plan to donate to Duyan Ni Maria Children’s Home, the orphanage they chose during a giving-back task inside the house. Mika had actually planned to donate her entire cash prize even before knowing her and Brent’s placement.
After spending over a hundred colorful days inside the famous yellow house, they’re already starting to feel the sepanx. Among the things they’ll miss the most are their fellow housemates and the fun chaos and buzz of living together under one roof. But more than anything, they said they’ll truly miss Kuya himself.
