Following his emotional conversation with his parents, Tanggol’s (Coco Martin) friends immediately checked on him. He relayed to them the unbelievable revelation that he’s actually blood-related to the Guerreros since his mother, Marites (Cherry Picache), is the product of the sexual abuse that his Lola Tindeng (Charo Santos) had suffered from Don Gustavo (Dante Guerrero).
Instead of getting discouraged, Tanggol said that this revelation actually fuels him more to pursue his candidacy and win the elections, not really for himself or his family, but for the people of Manila. He will not allow the Guerreros to claim the seats of power once more and to continue with their corrupt practices. His group, led by Divina (Rosanna Roces), promised that they would never forsake him in this fight, which they were able to prove over and over again.
As he recalled all the nasty things that had happened to him and the people around him ever since he decided to run for office, Tanggol appears to have become more tenacious in not accepting them into their lives and in exacting revenge against the Guerreros.
