Destiny found Mia (Anne Curtis) and Patrick (Joshua Garcia) again in Episode 2 of “It’s Okay To Not Be Okay,” which opened with Mia’s team setting up for her scheduled book-reading event at the auditorium of St. Benedict Hospital, the same place where Patrick works as a nurse in the psychiatric ward.
While they were busy preparing, her manager Vincent (Enchong Dee) was once again dodging calls from OK Hospital—calls he had clearly been rejecting since that morning—but this time, Mia, cold and assertive as ever, told him to answer and put it on speaker.
On the other line was Nurse Gemma (Kaori Oinuma), who politely reminded Mia that she still hadn’t signed the consent form for her father Samuel’s (Michael De Mesa) brain surgery, a procedure needed to remove his tumor, but Mia, unmoved and disinterested, coldly asked why the hospital insists on keeping alive someone who, for her, had been dead a long time ago.
After the call, a frustrated Gemma walked to Samuel’s room, telling him that she would still try to convince Mia. And then Samuel looked at her, only to see Mia’s face in hers, a hallucination that sent him into a state of panic as he started to scream in fear.
