Kapamilya stars assembled once again to flex their athletic side in friendly yet fierce matchups at the Star Magic All-Star Games 2025 on Sunday, July 20.
The Women's Volleyball event made a strong comeback, while Men’s Volleyball joined the official lineup for the first time ever, bringing even more action to the court. And one thing that kept fans screaming was the killer spikes that rocked the court and sent the energy through the roof.

Over at the Men's Volleyball court, where the Team Aces faced off with Team Smashers, a few names made serious noise. Dylan Yturralde, who’s had a collegiate volleyball career before joining "PBB Gen 11,”
showed off his varsity-caliber skills. Meanwhile, Bong Gonzales delivered power-packed hits that had the audience on their feet. Both Dylan and Bong star in the volleyball-themed iWant series "Love at First Spike."
Patrick Ramirez, who sealed the win with a championship-clinching spike, was a consistent force throughout the match—no wonder he walked away with the MVP title. And of course, pro players Giles Torres, JM Ronquillo, Kiel Castillo, Ariel Cacao, and Rex Intal raised the level of intensity even higher as they delivered textbook spikes and solid plays from start to finish.
Team Smashers took home the championship trophy after an intense three-set showdown. Aside from Dylan and MVP Patrick, the powerhouse team also featured Binsoy Namoca and rookie standout Marc Santiago, with an extra edge from pro players Ronquillo, Torres, and Castillo.
Meanwhile, Team Aces proudly claimed the 1st runner-up spot. Their lineup composed of BGYO Akira, BGYO JL, Zach Guerrero, PJ Endrinal, Dingdong Bahan, and Bong, held strong throughout the volleyball battle, reinforced by the presence of guest pros Intal and Cacao.
The Mythical 6 honors went to Bong, BGYO JL, BGYO Akira, Dylan, Patrick, and Giles Torres.
Over at the Women’s Volleyball territory where Team Lady Setters went head-to-head with the reigning champs, Team Lady Spikers, among the standout players was Analain Salvador, who remained a commanding force at the net. It was actually her killer spike in the final moments that led her team to a well-earned victory. Add to that Reign Parani, who delivered clutch attacks; and BINI Mikha, whose sharp plays and leadership were impressive in her first run as captain. Pro players Angel Canino, Erin Navarro, Ivy Lacsina, Camille Lamina, and Bella Belen also lent their skills.
After a four-year title drought, the Lady Setters were hoping to finally bounce back, with BINI Mikha stepping into the captain’s seat, taking over from last year’s skipper, Reign. The match opened strong with Lady Spikers serving first, as Lamina targeted fellow pro-player Canino, who fired back. For the Lady Setters, it was a tactical move to have Lacsina handle the initial sets instead of BINI Mikha to establish control.
Set 1 was a tight battle, with both teams locked in a back-and-forth rally that kept the momentum shifting until the Lady Setters managed to close it out with a narrow win. The second set brought just as much intensity, as the Setters once again edged out their opponents in another close finish.
With both teams gunning for the win in the deciding set, the girls fired up, with the Lady Spikers banking on Analain, but the reigning four-peat MVP seemed a bit off-form, while Reign stepped up for the Lady Setters.
Momentum shifted when Belen stepped in for the Lady Spikers, helping them claw their way back to a touch point in an unbelievable turn of events. Then came a captain-to-captain faceoff, with Analain firing a decisive spike aimed at BINI Mikha, who reached for the dig, but the ball slipped past her, sealing the Lady Spikers’ stunning victory.
The Lady Spikers were hailed as the Star Magic All-Star Games 2025 Women's Volleyball Champions. While the Lady Setters fell short, they accepted their 1st runner-up trophy with grace. Rising star Fyang Smith (Lady Spikers) was named Rookie of the Year, while the Mythical 6 honors went to Lady Setters Reign, BINI Mikha and Rain Celmar, and Lady Spikers Carmela Ford, Janah Zaplan, and Analain—who made history by clinching her fifth consecutive MVP title.
Also part of Team Lady Setters were Isabel Laohoo, Anji Salvacion, and rookie Jas Dudley-Scales. As for the Lady Spikers, the lineup was further powered by All-Star regulars like Loisa Andalio, Ai Dela Cruz, Vivoree and Angela Ken.
