There’s just something about Maris Racal that feels like sunshine—warm, light, and effortlessly charming. She has that way of embracing life fully and romanticizing even the small, ordinary moments. And you'll see exactly that in this round of "Category Questions" on Kapamilya Chat.
Maris took on a card-pick challenge where each card revealed a random question, from personal thoughts to little everyday curiosities. No pressure, just a fun and spontaneous way to get to know her better.
For the first card, the actress was asked which celebrity she’d want as her BFF, and she picked Nadine Lustre. “I just love her—her principles, her aesthetic... I love her so much,” she said.
When asked who she’d want to portray her in a biopic, she went for "Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition" ex-housemate and her fellow Bisdak Shuvee Etrata, "I think kaya niya ako."
Faced with the choice between a rewind or fast forward button in life, she took a thoughtful pause before choosing "rewind," so she could go back to relive some of her happiest moments.
Maris, who stars in the sports-drama film "Sunshine," burst into laughter when asked what five apps she’d keep if she could only have five on her phone. “Alam mo kung anong pangarap ko sa buhay? Manahimik,” she joked, meaning social media wouldn’t make the cut. Instead, her dream five would be: a meditation app, Google Maps (for traveling), Ultimate Guitar (for the musician in her), The Pattern (her fave astrology guide), and a feel-good game like Gardenscapes.
One of the more unique questions asked her whose life she’d switch with for a day. Maris chose a close friend of hers who works as a producer, because she wants to immerse herself in that kind of creative world. She’s already producing music videos, but when it comes to film or series, she thinks she’d start as a brainstorming lead or concept contributor before diving in deeper.
Between saving time or saving money, she picked time. "Kahit mabilis, kahit ang dami kong ginagawa everyday, I always make sure to sit in silence and just appreciate every moment," shared Maris, who also plays Gab Rivera in the action series "Incognito," which is now nearing its finale.
Sometimes, even in the middle of working, she takes intentional pauses to soak everything in. And on free days, she finds joy in working out or going on picnics.
