There are things we pick up from our parents without even realizing it. For Luis Manzano, it didn't take long before he started noticing a few familiar traits in himself that felt a little too much like his dad, Edu Manzano. And now that he’s a father himself, he’s beginning to see some of those same little quirks showing up in his daughter, Isabella Rose, too. It’s like a fun cycle that proves how certain parts of us quietly live on through the people we love.
Luis believes one thing he unknowingly mirrors from his dad is the way he loves to entertain people. “’Pag nagte-taping siya and when people speak of him, lahat sila sinasabi na he's a fun guy. He makes sure na lahat ng tao sa paligid niya ay napapasaya niya,” he shared. And later on he started noticing the same pattern in himself, that no matter where he is or what kind of setting he’s in, “kahit papaano gusto ko nakangiti 'yung mga tao sa paligid din.” It just naturally comes out of him, the way it did with Edu.
And now that he’s a dad himself, the “Rainbow Rumble” host is beginning to see that Peanut has taken after his playful side too. “Si Peanut, malakas mang-asar! Alam niya 'yung kunwari magki-kiss siya sabay tatakbo. Basta, pilya siya!” he smiled. Luis mentioned that even his wife Jessy Mendiola would often point out how Peanut has the same little antics as him.
It must be such a fun sight for Luis to watch a new breed of Manzano, a tiny version of himself, grow up with the same kind of humor he and his dad have always had, making moments like Father’s Day feel even more special.
