"Sino kayo kapag walang nakatingin?"—that was the question Big Brother left the housemates with after they failed their weekly task, which came on the heels of a string of house rule violations.
In the "Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0" December 7 episode, we saw how their failed task opened up moments of reflection, as Kuya made them realize the weight of the consequences of their careless actions, reminding them that while there may always be eyes watching over them inside the house, the real question is how they would act and behave if, say, no one was actually keeping tabs, especially in the outside world where there are no cameras.
"Piliin na maging isang tao na nagpapahalaga at sumusunod sa batas, isang tao na hindi lang marunong amgpakatotoo pero handa ring magpakatao," Big Brother told the housemates. "Panalangin ko nawa'y maging henerasyon kayo na may pananagutan sa inyong mga kilos at desisyon."
After Big Brother’s message, the housemates began to reflect on their behavior, with Lella Ford—who had the most rule violations—opening up to Joaquin Arce about how heavy her heart felt through it all and how she’s now determined to do better. Later, she joined Krystal Mejes and Carmelle Collado's conversation where they mused on Kuya’s question about who they really are when no one is watching, realizing that if they were already breaking rules even with Kuya keeping a watchful eye, then what kind of choices would they make once they’re out in the real world with no one to remind them?
Because of the string of violations committed by the housemates, Big Brother decided to skip the LigTask challenge, meaning no one earned immunity from the week's nominations, which naturally left everyone on edge. Especially with Christmas Day coming up, as Lee Victor pointed out, this round of nominations felt extra crucial since each of them wanted to spend the holidays inside the "PBB" house.
During the group nomination, the Interlinked Minds—Lee, Fred Moser, Iñigo Jose, and Heath Jornales—agreed that they'd likely to give nomination points to the Big Back Dreamers, with Joaquin at the center of the discussion. Iñigo was bothered when Joaquin spilled one of their conversations to Sofia Pablo instead of confronting him first about what he did wrong, while Fred said he had been noticing Joaquin's bossy behavior, which Lee then described as "nakakaasr at times."
Meanwhile, the housemates’ doubts about Anton Vinzon’s genuineness resurfaced. Carmelle’s name was also brought up, with Lee saying he finds her expressions off and hard to read, whether they’re sarcastic or sincere.
As for the Big Back Dreamers—Joaquin, Krystal, Caprice Cayetano, and Princess Aliyah—they decided to break their nominations into categories, starting with household tasks, which led them to bring up Fred's inconsistency in chores, and then moving to the kitchen, where Anton was flagged for being messy and often cooking meals that end up with him getting larger portions than everyone else.
By the end of the episode, host Bianca Gonzalez announced that the Interlinked Minds—Fred, Iñigo, Heath, and Lee—were the only nominated group for the week, and based on the confession room discussions, some of the reasons behind their nomination included what other housemates described as a lack of participation in household chores, particularly by Heath and Fred (as pointed out by Rave Victoria of the Palabanghels and Joaquin of the Big Back Dreamers), along with the observation that the four boys weren’t taking their punishments as seriously as they should have, which didn’t sit well with others who felt they weren’t showing enough accountability.
On Saturday, December 13, one Kapamilya and one Kapuso housemate will be bidding farewell to the "PBB" house and returning to the outside world.
