Beauty queen and singer-songwriter Dia Mate got her Christmas wish granted as she finally scored her first-ever win on "Your Face Sounds Familiar" after slaying her transformation as pop icon Kylie Minogue.
In the December 21 episode, after the Round 6 performances wrapped, the jury—Gary Valenciano, Sharon Cuneta, and Ogie Alcasid—agreed that this round was one of the toughest to judge, as every celebrity performer brought their A-game.
And interestingly, judging tastes varied in this round. Ogie’s top scorer was the JMielle duo (JM Dela Cerna and Marielle Montellano), Sharon gave her highest score to Jason Dy, while Gary's top pick was Dia. All those jumbled rankings on the scoreboard made the announcement even more thrilling because it was anyone’s game!
The leaderboard then got a major shake-up when the celebrity performers started exchanging their “three points." Once the scores were tallied, Dia claimed the top spot, with most saying she felt like a revelation and genuinely looked like she was having fun during her performance.
As this week’s winner, Dia received ₱50,000 and a plaque. She thanked her fellow performers for inspiring her to always give her best, and the jury for consistently offering constructive feedback that motivates her to keep improving with each transformation.
