Because being kind is a major flex in Bahay Ni Kuya, the "Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0" housemates who were voted by their fellow housemates as the 'pinakamabuti' got a super special reward—a chance to share a phone call with their mothers, with a little help from houseguest, the Unkabogable Superstar herself, Vice Ganda.
Before the teary phone call, housemate Lella Ford got a little one-on-one with her 'tita' Vice. During their conversation, she opened up about how her mom, actress Karla Estrada, never really says what she’s going through but somehow, as a daughter, she just feels it. Vice replied, "Your mom has won so many battles more than we all know. She's cried so many tears na hindi natin nakita. At kahit hindi natin nakita, alam ko 'yun dahil matalik ko siyang kaibigan." Vice reminded Lella to always make sure that her mom feels loved.
She also congratulated her for being voted as one of the ‘pinakamabuti’ inside Bahay Ni Kuya, which Lella said she didn’t expect, especially since she had the most violations in the past. But instead of focusing on her violation record, she chose to look at the votes as a credit to her mom, believing that her goodness reflects how she was raised.
There’s no doubt that Lella has taken after her mom's strength, but her strong facade crumbled as she broke down in tears during their phone call. While Lella couldn’t see her mom, Karla was watching her on a monitor from one of the rooms inside the house as they talked.
Karla made sure to tell Lella how proud she is of her, saying Lella continues to surprise her with all the good things she’s doing in the “PBB” house. "Ang pagiging mabuti pa rin ang magtatagumpay... You will be okay," she told her child. The 100-second call ended with the mother and daughter greeting each other a Merry Christmas.
