It's often said that a project requires the support of a village to succeed. And this speaks true to “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo”, which apparently took it both literally and figuratively, as seen in the behind-the-scenes montage uploaded recently by CCM Film Productions across its official social media platforms.
The video gives avid viewers glimpses on how the intense, high-octane skirmish between the groups of Tanggol (Coco Martin) and Rigor (John Estrada) that transpired at the fictional barangay of San Dimas.
It can be recalled that the battle between them sparked after Tanggol and his father, Ramon (Christopher de Leon)—came to rescue Marites (Cherry Pie Picache) at the Dimaguiba residence. Little did they know that Rigor and some of his subordinates were just lurking around and waiting for the next moves that the group of Tanggol was going to carry out in their pursuit of finally getting ahold of them.

Lead actor-director Coco was seen giving directions to one of the assistant directors with regard to how a certain scene should be shot, as well as being the frontrunner in the clash between the two warring groups. Despite the intensity and seriousness of the scene, Coco still flashes his wide and bright smiles and happily waves at and mingles with the crowd who were watching the sequences at the sidelines. CCM Film Productions also shared three photos of Coco, who seemed to be having a good laugh and amusing chat with Cherry Pie and John off-cam.
It was not only him and his co-actors and fellow members of the production who were busy during the filming of the featured sequence, but also the throngs of extras they had hired to play the neighbors of the Dimaguibas in San Dimas. They were seen running in different directions with terror on their faces in order to show the viewers how frightening the situation was. Brilliant director Richard V. Somes was the one in charge helming the said sequence, as he was also seen giving directions to the production crew while seated in front of a camera monitor.

The montage concluded with that scene when Rigor and Mando attempted to go after Tanggol and his gang, who managed to escape and take Marites with them despite lacking in number and weapons.
