Fueled by her wrath and grief following the unforeseen deaths of her father, Mauro (Richard Quan), and stepmom, Linda (Aleck Bovick), during her and Tanggol’s (Coco Martin) clash against Lucio (Ronnie Lazaro) and his group, Ponggay (Maris Racal) conveyed her burning desire to exact vengeance against Lucio and make him pay for what he had done to her parents.
As she bade temporary farewell to her grandma, Lola Florie (Perla Bautista), and her stepsister, Dimples (Criza Taa), in order to keep them away from further harm, she went straight to the hideout of Tanggol and his group to come face to face with the man who mercilessly killed her loved ones.
Despite Lucio’s plea for her not to do anything to him since his body was already swollen and in pain after being heavily beaten up by Tropang Tanggol, Ponggay still went on to throw a slew of punches and kicks at him, whose hands were tied together to the ceiling of the ship they were in, as she furiously uttered, “Hindi dapat nabubuhay ang tulad mo. Dapat sa’yo mamatay!”
Tanggol managed to stop her by grabbing her from the back, but she was able to escape from his embrace and continued to beat Lucio up. She was further incensed by the fact that, in spite of his apology, he maintained that Mauro was to blame because he had betrayed them and developed a loyalty to Tanggol, whom he and his gang regarded as one of their most formidable foes.
