Another full course of charismatic, passionate, and entertaining performances, the December 14 episode of “ASAP” also gave a warm spotlight to the main cast of “Call Me Mother,” one of the most anticipated soul-stirring films in the lineup of the 51st Metro Manila Film Festival, happening this December 25.
Both FAMAS-acclaimed artists—the Multimedia Superstar Nadine Lustre and the Unkabogable Superstar Vice Ganda—gorgeously shared the stage in their very own softer and cozier rendition of international hit singer Meghan Trainor’s “Mother.”
First to “mother” the twin star–like performance was none other than Vice, who stood center stage in an opulent, body-hugging red-and-white gown topped with a snowy bow. Her signature blonde hair was tied up to complete the grand visuals as she crooned through the first half of the song.
Magnetizing more of the viewers’ enamoured gaze, and with the added flair of G-Force dancers clad in pristine white suits, Nadine entered with her velvety vocals, complemented by her dusky attire of black and dark green, yet still featuring a similar milky lower half and ribbon as Vice.
Towards the end, the two met, interlinked hands, and prettily sat on the stage with their glowing smiles—smiles they exhibited even more during Robi Domingo’s brief hosting session, where they expressed excitement and happiness over their newest project together.
When asked about the deepest message “Call Me Mother” aims to impart to its viewers, Vice stated, “Motherhood is beyond gender… Mahirap siyang i-define lang sa mga simpleng salita,” to which Nadine genuinely nodded in agreement.
