The November 27 episode of “Roja” is filled with cries and gunfire as Uno (Joel Torre) leads the La Playa Roja siege. The guests are held captive, while some try to escape.
The once peaceful resort becomes a battlefield as Liam (Donny Pangilinan) and Olsen (Kyle Echarri) think of strategies for survival. Greta (Lorna Tolentino) continues to resist despite Uno's assault, Magnus (Raymond Bagatsing) struggles to protect his family, and Wendy (Janice de Belen) trembles in fear. Across the resort, captives are gathered at the pavilion, their lives hanging in the balance.
Resort guests fall captive as gunfire erupts
The attack begins with the killing of resort staff and the jamming of Wi-Fi and cellular signals. Guests grow impatient filled with curiosity and anger. Ice (Kai Montinola), Bogs (Emilio Daez), and Jules (AC Bonifacio) ask for Happy’s (Rubi Rubi) assistance, but she seems just as baffled.
By the shore, security personnel rush for defense, firing shots, but Uno guns them down as if he is shooting cans. As the attackers draw closer, the guests hear gunfire. Bogs, Ice, Jules, and Happy are taken captive, the four trembling in fear for their lives.
Meanwhile, Luna (Maymay Entrata) heads back to the hotel restaurant. On her way, she sees masked men running around and flees in terror.
At the hotel bar, other guests are partying when Ayen (Yassi Pressman) and the team storm in, opening fire and holding everyone captive. Screams fill the entire venue. Kwatro (Harvey Bautista) tries to shoot the security but freezes, forcing his brother Tres (Bernard Palanca) to pull the trigger for him.
Dos (Marc Abaya) leads everyone to the hotel restaurant. Later, Uno and Ayen arrive, raining bullets to terrify the guests.
The next targets are the children of the wealthy. Singko (Gello Marquez) and Sais (Lou Yanong) take charge of the captives, shooting nearby security and seizing Jabbas (Iñigo Jose), Macky (Kobie Brown), Rita (Maika Rivera), and Boss Topak (Benedict Cua). Macky resists, offering money in exchange for freedom, but his plea fails and they are taken immediately.
Greta and Magnus face Uno's wrath
Back at their house, Greta and Magnus still have no idea that their beloved La Playa Roja is being infiltrated by armed men. Greta confronts Magnus about his decision to ask Liam to leave early. Magnus defends himself, saying he didn’t ask their son to leave---he simply let him go, since Liam has no interest in managing the resort. That’s why he passed the responsibility to Olsen, who is far more determined and invested than Liam.
Greta grows frustrated with the lack of signal. A few minutes later, their house is invaded by the gunmen. Magnus tries to fight back but fails. Hearing the unusual noise, Liam turns his head, realizing the danger. Moments later, Uno and Ayen enter the house. Uno kicks Magnus violently. “Ang tagal ko ’tong hinintay!” he mutters, anger burning in his eyes as he looks down on Magnus.
From the other side of the door, Liam hears everything. He runs to hide as Uno orders his bandits to search the entire house. Rifle in hand, Liam conceals himself, ready for what’s to come.
Ayen stops Uno from further attacking Magnus. “Kailangan pa natin sila,” she pleads with her father. Magnus demands to know what the perpetrators want. Lucas, codenamed Dos, answers coldly that as long as they cooperate, things will remain simple. Greta tries to fight back, asking who the gang leader is, but Dos snaps at her.
Chaos escalates when Magnus attacks Uno, enraging him even more. Dos begins searching for Liam, only to be told that he has already left for Manila.
Uno’s armed men return, reporting that the house is clear and Liam is nowhere to be found. Greta and Magnus are then taken captive. Outside, Liam emerges carefully with gun in hand.
Tres and Kwatro's captives
The next targets are the Morillos. Still reeling from the revelation of her husband’s affair with Nurse Claire (Rans Rifol), Conney (Sandy Andolong) grows suspicious of everything. Inside Jessie’s (Robert Seña) luggage, she discovers an envelope containing annulment petition papers he filed. This sends her into tears, and before she can process it, Jessie enters the room to inform her that armed men are now outside their villa.
As they plan their escape, Jessie, Conney, and Nurse Claire are captured by Dado and Ian, codenamed Tres and Kwatro. Claire attempts to run but falls from the balcony, knocking herself unconscious. The thugs assume she is dead.
Next are the Del Rosarios. Mike (Cris Villanueva) tries to put Maddie (Zia Grace) to bed, but the little girl witnesses the attack from their balcony, sending Mike into panic. Maddie cries as she runs to her mother, Minnie (Nikki Valdez), who is equally confused by the chaos. Mike scrambles to secure their room, thinking of how they might escape. He opens the ceiling just as the gunmen approach their villa, and the family climbs up to hide. Tres reports that the architect-and-engineer couple are not in their room, while the family carefully hides themselves in the bathroom ceiling. The armed men leave the villa.
Meanwhile, the captive guests are gathered at the resort pavilion. Screams and gunfire echo throughout the property.
Olsen, Wendy, and Liam cling to survival
On the other side of La Playa Roja, Chief Ben (Levi Ignacio) radios his staff in confusion, but no one responds. He and Olsen remain unaware of the chaos unfolding inside the resort. Ben decides to find out what is happening, though Olsen tries to stop him. Ben insists, ordering Olsen to stay home with his mother.
Later, Wendy and Olsen are still in the dark, their concern growing as Ben has not returned. While outside, they witness a neighbor being shot while searching for reception. Panicked, Olsen and Wendy rush back to their room, but armed men are already after them. Olsen orders Wendy to follow him for safety. With guns in hand, they hide behind the secret door in the closet. Olsen begs his mother not to leave, promising he will look for his Lolo Ben.
Meanwhile, Liam discreetly makes his way to the resort’s security area. There, he discovers the dead bodies of the security personnel. Checking the CCTV cameras, he sees the resort grounds eerily empty. Seconds later, Dos and Kwatro arrive, and Liam quickly hides. His heart beats faster as he struggles to remain unseen.
La Playa Roja now becomes a place of nightmares. As captives are gathered and defiance falters, who will rise against Uno’s reign of terror?
