Samuel’s (Gerald Anderson) mission against the Bakunawa syndicate is starting to take place in the November 18 episode of “Sins of the Father.” Roldan (Joko Diaz) faces his downfall, victims fight back for their freedom, and families are torn between heartbreak and survival.
With Jacob’s (JC de Vera) schemes and allies stepping in, the battle against the scam hub pushes every character to their limits.
Samuel reunites with allies in the war room
Samuel returns to the war room and reunites with Paeng (Nico Antonio), Agnes (Jessy Mendiola), and their new accomplices Johnny (RK Bagatsing) and Leah (Shaina Magdayao). Leah is stunned as she takes in all the information plastered on the board.
They begin planning, but what surprises them most is the arrival of General Balagtas (Jett Pangan), who also enters the war room as their ally. Samuel proceeds and explains that he was able to get the new address of the scam hub from Valentino (Mel Martinez). “Sa lalong madaling panahon kailangan maipasara natin ‘to at mailigtas ‘yung mga bihag nila.”
He informs everyone that Mael (Jerald Napoles) successfully hacks into the security cameras, and they make a discovery, which shows Enzo (Seth Fedelin) in the CCTV footage. They realize they need to save Enzo, but through other means--and for that, they need Roldan.
Roldan storms the scam hub to rescue Enzo
Roldan is still searching for Enzo and has even offered prize money to anyone who can tell him his whereabouts. He receives a call from Samuel, who reaches out because of Enzo. Roldan immediately suspects him, but Samuel insists he did not abduct Enzo, and he knows where he is. He sends Roldan the CCTV footage, and from this, Roldan learns that Enzo has been taken into the scam hub.
Meanwhile, Bekkah (Malou Crisologo) and Abby (Lei Ang) are relieved that they managed to transfer their location, unaware that they are about to be exposed. Bekkah suddenly sees Enzo and realizes he has been abducted. This makes her nervous and sends her into a panic. She scolds her men and reveals that Enzo is Roldan’s son--putting them all in danger.
Later, as their scam operation continues, the thugs move Enzo to another place, making him confused. Roldan arrives at the new address of the scam hub, determined to rescue his son. As Peklat and Tangkad take Enzo away, Roldan storms in, enraged. They know they are doomed upon his arrival. “Hayop kayo, sinaktan n’yo ang anak ko!”
Roldan shoots them mercilessly. Enzo, from another room, hears and sees everything--blood scattered everywhere. Shocked, Enzo realizes what his father is capable of, and Roldan feels a deep sense of shame knowing his son witnessed it all.
Meanwhile, Samuel continues his mission to infiltrate the warehouse, now joined by Johnny. Suddenly, alarms blare inside the facility, signaling intruders. Gunshots echo throughout the warehouse while Samuel and Johnny fight off the guards.
The chaos enrages Roldan even more. But just as he is about to fight again, Enzo stops him. “Sumuko ka na. Marami kang sinaktan, pati ‘yung kaibigan kong si Gavin (Ashton Salvador), patay na.”
They both break down in tears. Enzo convinces his father that everything he has done with Bakunawa has only caused pain to everyone. Roldan drops his gun and sobs, and the two cry together in silence.
Samuel’s mission leads to Roldan’s downfall
At the war room, they all wait and monitor Samuel’s actions. “This will be the perfect opportunity para ma-entrap si Roldan. Kung nandyan siya, he will be directly tied to the scam hub,” General Balagtas declares. Balagtas instructs Samuel and advises him to get out of the warehouse immediately after securing the victims’ safety. Later on, Johnny, along with other police officers, follows Samuel.
Meanwhile, the scam warehouse victims find the courage to fight back against their abductors. Naomi (Barbie Imperial) and Diane (Reign Parani) confront and attack them all. Everyone clashes head-to-head with the criminals inside the warehouse.
Unfortunately, not every victim makes it out alive--even Alex (Junjun Quintana). Bekkah, enraged, urges everyone to stop as she points a gun at them. Naomi manages to hit her, leaving her unconscious. Samuel continues to fight, taking hits, but eventually succeeds in completing his mission. Naomi and the other victims tie up Bekkah. Naomi later sees Samuel, the man she refers to as Don Romantiko. Realization hits that they are finally in a safe place.
Johnny, finally face-to-face with Roldan, arrests him. Roldan declares, “Sumusuko na ako.” He apologizes to Enzo and turns himself in.
Enzo is now safe, along with the other victims.
News of Roldan’s arrest spreads panic in Bakunawa
Pastor Ferdie (Joel Saracho), Congressman Montelibano (Simon Ibarra), and Matthias (Eric Fructuoso) are shaken by the sudden turn of events. Jacob reassures them that they will become more powerful under his leadership.
“Patutunayan ko sa inyo na hindi natin kakailanganin si Tanda.” Jacob lays out his plans, including a prostitution scheme set to happen in Myanmar. He urges them to buy new condominium units to store their money, promising that they will grow richer through these plans. Matthias seems to trust Jacob, while the other two remain skeptical.
Meanwhile, Diego (Tirso Cruz III) is comatose. Leah visits him in the hospital and learns that his other complications are caused by his cancer. She also discovers that he was choked, and immediately realizes Jacob was behind it. She grows furious, torn between pity and anger, as she struggles to see that Diego’s then strong and in control aura is now fading.
Later on, Pastor Ferdie grows enraged and nervous, urging their plan to happen immediately. “‘Yang baliw na si Diego, ‘yan ang tuluyang magpapabagsak sa Bakunawa!” Everyone begins to panic, and they also start looking for Roldan. Jacob turns to Xenon (LA Santos) and asks him to be his right hand. His first plan is to capture Leah. “Wala siyang ibang choice kung hindi sumama sa akin.”
He vows to make sure Leah will never be able to escape.
But then, the news playing in the background catches his attention--reporting that Roldan has been arrested and the victims are now freed. The people of Bakunawa watch the broadcast as well, sending them deeper into panic.
“Malamang kasunod na tayo!” They scream in fear, but Matthias seems to find something they can use. Jacob gets furious as he watches the news, realizing that everyone is now after them, and he is certain Samuel is working with the General. Matthias then delivers the news to Jacob, he has discovered something about Samuel’s family and their whereabouts.
Paulo’s world shatters upon learning Gavin is gone
Heartbreaking it is for Paulo (William Lorenzo), who is expecting to see his son Gavin after hearing the news that the victims of the scam hub are now free. Enzo meets with him, failing to make eye contact, unsure how to break the news that Gavin did not make it.
Paulo looks for Gavin after seeing that Enzo came alone. “Nasaan ang anak ko?” He starts to get anxious, wondering why Gavin is not with him. “Tito, I’m sorry,” was all Enzo said. Paulo refuses to believe him, but he starts trembling. His world collapses upon realizing that his son has died. Enzo just hugs Paulo, while the latter is devastated.
Arissa is in grave danger
Samuel calls his family to inform them that his plans are working. “Tagumpay ang misyon ko. Pabagsak na ang Bakunawa.” His family feels relieved. Their short phone call ends, and they hear gunshots outside the house. Arissa (Francine Diaz) and Lolita (Lotlot de Leon), terrified, hurry to hide with King (Clave Sun) and Chloe (Cailey Magno) to keep them safe, while Agnes goes out to confront the intruders.
Arissa and Lolita hide with the kids inside the closet, while Agnes engages in a shootout against Jacob’s men. She’s unfortunately shot, but manages to repel and defeat them. Despite her wound, she knows there are more enemies to face, and she continues.
Meanwhile, Enzo is driving and tries to call Arissa. Arissa whispers as she answers, pleading for help from Enzo. Eventually, the intruders break into the room where they are hiding, and they eventually got caught. Arissa tries to resist, and Agnes joins her, but Arissa is eventually captured by Jacob’s men. Agnes attempts to save her but fails.
The mission may have brought justice with Roldan’s arrest and the victims’ freedom, but the fight is far from over. As Samuel’s family breathes relief, danger still lingers--Arissa has been captured, and her fate hangs in the balance.
