When it comes to impersonating Ogie Alcasid, it's not just about singing your heart out as Ogie, it's about channeling his charm, hugot, and yes, even his signature dances. These transformations by ka-Familiars as Ogie Alcasid on "Your Face Sounds Familiar" prove just how legendary the OPM icon truly is.

Here are three impersonations of Ogie Alcasid that earned the approval of the judges, the audience, and the OPM icon himself.

Sam Concepcion (Season 2, 2015) – “Nandito Ako”

Sam Concepcion took us back to the '80s with Ogie Alcasid's classic hairstyle and outfit as he delivered a heartfelt performance of “Nandito Ako” from Ogie's 1990 self-titled album.

From hand gestures to facial expressions, Sam embodied the OPM icon even to his nuances. Coach Jed Madela, filling in for judge Ogie Alcasid, praised Sam's vocal resemblance: “Sa boses, it was close to Sir Ogie's voice.” Overall, he loved the performance.

Judge Gary Valenciano was so impressed that he asked Sam to sing a line a cappella just to hear more. Meanwhile, judge Sharon Cuneta added her seal of approval, saying it was a performance that surely made Ogie proud.

Sam placed third at the end of the season.

Elha Nympha (YFSF Kid, Season 1, 2017) – “Dito Sa Puso Ko”

As soon as Elha stepped on stage as Ogie Alcasid, judge Ogie himself stood up in amazement. From the signature dance moves to Ogie's speaking voice, Elha did great as she performed the classic hit “Dito Sa Puso Ko” from Ogie's 1990 self-titled album.

Her performance earned praise from the judges.

And lastly, Ogie himself was floored. “Every performance of yours is just magnificent, amazing, nakakagulat, napakahusay mo—and today was no exception.” Elha earned his full approval.

Elha was a runner-up during her season, proving she’s truly a star in her own right.

JM Dela Cerna (Season 4, 2025) – “Ikaw Sana”

Originally set to duet with Marielle Montellano as Regine Velasquez, JM performed solo due to Marielle’s health emergency—and delivered an emotional rendition of “Ikaw Sana” from Ogie Alcasid's 2002 album “A Better Man.”

JM also channeled his humor, reenacting his jokes and gestures in real time. He even danced alongside Ogie himself on stage, earning laughs from the audience, hosts, fellow ka-Familiars, and judges.

Coaches Klarisse De Guzman and Nyoy Volante, filling in for Gary Valenciano, praised JM’s attention to detail. “Ang galing, talagang ‘yung mga small details, nagawa mo talaga.” Klarisse noted. “Kahit na mag-isa ka lang, ‘yung palaging reaction ko, naming lahat… Uy, kuhang kuha. That was amazing” Nyoy added.

Sharon Cuneta, who has known Ogie since the '80s, was stunned: “I never expected any boy to sound exactly like he does ... Pero ang daming instances sa performance mo na… pati ‘yung dynamics kuhang-kuha talaga.” A sentiment Ogie agreed with.

Deeply moved, Ogie said, “I cannot say anything more, but, I guess, thank you. Thank you for doing that.” He also shared that JM’s performance gave him goosebumps, despite having been impersonated in past “YFSF” edition.

Aside of honoring the music of Ogie Alcasid, these performances remind us why his music continues to resonate across generations, even up to this day---proving that he is truly one of a kind.
