During the first few hours of the candelabra challenge, two out of the twenty candles had already gone out, one of them caused by Sofia Pablo, who didn’t realize she had exhaled a little too strongly, putting out the flame right in front of her.
When they went back inside, Sofia was totally feeling the guilt, so the housemates cheered her up and reassured her that no one was blaming her for what happened. Out in the garden, the housemates heard the signal for a pause in the weekly task.
Big Brother gathered everyone and explained that losing two candles meant two housemates could no longer take part in carrying the candelabra. The group huddled to decide. Sofia volunteered to step back since she was the one who blew out one of the flames. Lee Victor also volunteered to step aside, as he felt he could best serve the team as a “warden” watching over the others.
