As the “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0” experience becomes more real for the Gen Z housemates, Big Brother officially launched their first-ever weekly task called “Candelabra de Horror.”
In the October 30 episode, Kuya called for the oldest among the male housemates, Iñigo Jose of Star Magic, and the youngest female housemate, Caprice Cayetano of Sparkle, to the confession room.
The two mentioned that they had noticed the candles inside the house, which turned out to be clues to their very first weekly task. Big Brother assigned Iñigo and Caprice as task leaders for the challenge, where the housemates must carry a large candelabra holding twenty lit candles, each one representing a housemate. Only five participants at a time are allowed to lift the candelabra, and it’s up to the group to strategize who joins and when to switch turns. However, every time a candle goes out, a housemate can no longer assist in carrying the candelabra. A signal will mark the start and end of each lifting round, and for the team to win, at least one candle must remain lit by the end of the week. To make things even trickier, the entire task must be done outdoors in the garden area.
After leaving the confession room, Iñigo and Caprice immediately gathered the housemates to explain the task and begin discussing their strategy. But even during the first few minutes, their conversation already grew a bit chaotic as everyone tried to speak all at once.
