Comedy queen Rufa Mae Quinto rocked the house on the October 19 episode of “Your Face Sounds Familiar,” delivering a performance that perfectly recreated the infectious and colorful energy of ‘80s pop icon Cyndi Lauper.
On the topic of her actual performance, she didn’t hesitate to show more of her Cyndi Lauper impression fused with her signature “Rufa Mae” humor: “Well, I really had fun. Thanks to my fans, I forgot to wear my pants.”
Filling Vhong and Jhong’s interview with laughter, she spilled more jokes, particularly the “Langit Lauper” (Langit Lupa), “Pa-Cyndi, may lighter ka?” (Cyndi is Sindi, which means to light something), and “Cyndi, cyndi na mauulit ‘to” (Hinding-hindi na mauulit ‘to) phrases.
