Due to his arrears and altercation with Taruc, Mauro (Richard Quan) couldn’t help but assume that he had something to do with what had happened to his stepdaughter Dimples (Criza Taa). Ponggay (Maris Racal) reminded him that they should not accuse anyone without proof and advised him to just stay in their house and take a rest.
However, Ponggay’s words just fell on deaf ears as, despite limping and still recuperating from the stab wound that he had sustained from his brawl with Taruc and his henchmen the night before, Mauro still left their house to confront his enemies after being urged by his mother, Florie (Perla Bautista), to not let anyone oppress or hurt their family.
He attacked his enemies at their hideout and tried to fight with them single-handedly. Just when they were about to further beat him up, Ponggay arrived at the scene to stop them. Taruc denied having any hand in what happened to Dimples but threatened to make Mauro’s allegations real once he accuses them again.
As Mauro insisted that she should have arrested them, Ponggay argued that she couldn't do it since they didn’t have any evidence yet to prove his allegations and it was him who started the fight. Seeing how frustrated he was, Ponggay told him to take courage since she and Dimples needed him.
