A mother is always ready to listen. In a heart-touching moment, Marites released her pent-up frustrations dealing with the challenges of her troubled sons. Tindeng quietly listened, her presence speaking volumes, because if anyone could truly understand Marites, it would be her own mother. Tindeng urged Marites to confront the possibility that Rigor was having an affair after he failed to come home one night. And as it often happens, her instincts proved right. However, when Marites decided to ignore the chaos caused by her husband, Tindeng warned her that things left unattended would eventually fade into nothingness and be buried and forgotten.
The tension even escalated into a heated argument when Tindeng criticized Marites for neglecting her eldest, Tanggol (Coco Martin), just to please Rigor. She boldly said that Marites had overlooked the real issues in her effort to maintain the illusion of peace and love in her family. Tindeng, ever the protective mother, couldn’t let that slide.
