Our family is supposed to be our most staunch ally in life, as we expect them to love us unconditionally, support us in our endeavors, and be by our side as we go through challenges in life. However, that’s not always the case for some of us, who aren’t able to establish tight bonds with their immediate loved ones due to various circumstances.
Among them is Olga, the spiteful and ruthless female antagonist in “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” compellingly portrayed by Irma Adlawan, who made it as one of her important missions in life to exact revenge at her adoptive father and brother Don Julio Montenegro (Tommy Abuel) and Ramon (Christopher de Leon), who has constantly belittled her capabilities and treated her unfairly ever since she was young.
And after a long time of scrupulous planning on how she would carry out her vengeful schemes, it finally happened recently after Olga was successful in her attempt to poison Don Julio that has put the latter in comatose. As we await what will happen to him in the next episodes, let us revisit the 10 scenes that showed Don Julio’s unfair treatment towards Olga in this edition of Kapamilya Toplist!
While we didn’t have any idea how it all started or how Olga came to the Montenegro family, some of the flashback scenes revealed that Don Julio had never been supportive of her aspirations in life, such as having a family of her own. It can be recalled that many years ago, she once brought to the mansion a man she introduced to Don Julio as her boyfriend and the father of her then-unborn child, which he didn’t accept. Instead of being happy for her, Don Julio instead shot her boyfriend in front of her, which extremely shocked and devastated her.
That happened again when she fell in love with Marcelo (Alex Medina/Nonie Buencamino), whom he alleged as a fraud after it was revealed in the private investigation that he carried out that he’s actually a swindler whose modus operandi was to make women from wealthy families to fall head over heels on him and extort money from them. While the love they shared was indeed real, as what Olga insisted to Don Julio, the old man maintained that she was just being used by Marcelo for his personal gains.
As she got pregnant for the second time, Don Julio called her stupid for letting it happen. Adding fuel to the fire was when he refused to accept his supposed grandkid upon learning that it’s a girl, arguing that it was going to be useless to their family and business since he regarded women as weak, unlike her firstborn, Gregg (RK Bagatsing).
However, instead of showering Gregg with love like what grandparents usually do to their apos, Don Julio treated him as if he’s just one of their minions who’s expected to sacrifice his life to protect their family and business when he grew up.
Olga absolutely got infuriated when Don Julio asserted this in one of their confrontations, which prompted her to aim her gun at him. Even though she’s younger, she had no match with Don Julio who was surprisingly still agile for his age as he was able to pin her down on the floor with his cane and even kicked her hard on the back. He then expressed his regret for taking her into their family and giving her his name since she turned out to be worthless and a huge mistake.
While he interfered with Olga’s romantic affairs and strongly rejected both the men whom she fell in love with and despised her having children with them, it’s also noticeably how superbly unfair Don Julio has been to her as he showed her full support on the romantic relationship of his unico hijo Ramon with Monique (Lovi Poe), as well as on his endeavor to find his long-lost son and have a complete family.
Don Julio would also pin the blame on her every time the mission that he would entrust her to lead flopped, as he regards her as a failure, inadequate, and disappointment to their family. He would often compare her to Ramon, whom he always put in the pedestal regardless of what he does. Besides, there was an instance when he recklessly expressed that Olga’s children could have been as “useless” as her, while he has nothing but good words and kindness to his fake apo David (McCoy de Leon), who poses as Ramon’s son, Hesus.
There were times when she succeeded with her tasks, yet Don Julio would always find a way to discredit her, while he would always favor Ramon and Hesus even though they’re wrong. In one of their heated confrontations, Don Julio told her “Talagang uunahin ko ang aking kadugo at dapat alam mo kung ano ang lugar mo dito sa pamamahay ko!”
Will Olga succeed in her vicious and deadly plans against Don Julio? Let’s all find out by not missing an episode of “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” weeknights at 8PM, on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, and TV5.
