While we love watching our favorite actors shine on-screen, it's the unexpected behind-the-scenes moments that make being a fan even more exciting. There’s something about seeing the real, unfiltered side of a celebrity that gives us a whole new level of connection to them, right?

And speaking of real moments, Nadine Lustre is ready to spill the juiciest and most fun off-cam stories in the "Drink It Challenge" on Kapamilya Chat. In this game, the internet’s ‘president’ faces a series of questions, and if she’s not feeling like answering, she has the option to sip from one of the mystery drinks on standby.

Knowing Nadine, she’s always ready to speak her mind. When asked about the attitude she dislikes most in showbiz, she takes a moment to think deeply before joking, “Marami.” On a serious note, though, she admits that one of her biggest pet peeves is when people are unapologetically late. She shares, "Time is very important to everyone. Tapos rented pa lahat, I understand kasi nagsho-shoot din kami, so I really hate it when people are late tapos they're very unapologetic about it."

Adding to that, she also hates it when people show up unprepared for work. She gives an example from past shoots where the team arrived, only to find that the client hadn't approved the shots yet. This meant hours of waiting around for the green light, something that frustrates her. “Meron kasing doon pa nag-iisip, like, ‘Guys, you had time to work on this.’ I mean, wala, eh, gano’n siguro talaga tayo, very last minute.” But she quickly clarifies that there are a few instances where she’s also guilty of this, though she really avoids it as much as possible. “Parang pupunta ka sa giyera na walang weapon.”

But to be fair, Nadine also points out that she’s worked with many teams who are perfectly organized. When everything is in place, she says, the shoot runs smoothly and fast, which she truly appreciates. For Nadine, time is too precious to waste.

Always one to wear her heart on her sleeve, Nadine, when prompted to reveal who her crush was among the men she’s worked with, shares that she once worked with Rico Blanco when she was much younger. The “Uninvited” star had a huge crush on him at the time, as she was so into his music. Speaking of music, for those who miss Nadine’s ‘singer’ side, the good news is she'll definitely make new songs. The not-so-good news, however, is that she doesn’t really know when since she often has to reschedule her plans, as making new songs requires effort and time. No worries, Nadz, we’ll be patiently waiting!

It's also super interesting to hear Nadine reveal that she would’ve been a manga artist or a detective if she weren’t in showbiz today. According to the multi-hyphenate, she considered taking up Criminology in college, "I don't know. Mahilig ako sa ganyang klaseng stuff, 'yung mga solving mysteries, gano'n. Sobrang interested ako sa gano'n." Nadine also shares a fun story from her childhood: when she and her mom would ride the MRT to go to VTRs, her interest would spark every time they passed by a university in Cubao that offered a criminology course.

"There’s a lot," she says in the next round when asked about the worst comment she's read about herself on social media. But the most grave ones were probably the comments or messages warning her about certain people in her circle, which she did find more terrifying than upsetting. She explains, "Iba kasi 'yung feeling na nanggaling sa iba, na alam mo namang wala sa circle n'yo. Parang, ikaw, 'Paano nalaman ng tao na 'to?' Tapos meron pang time na very specific 'yung messages or comments, so rather than nakakapraning, it makes you feel like you can't trust anyone around you."

With fame comes bashing, and Nadine is no stranger to that. But she’s also well aware of herself, and that kind of self-assurance allows her to brush off the nasty comments. "At the end of the day, I know myself. I know that I'm not doing anything wrong. So, as long as wala naman akong tinatapakang paa ng ibang tao, okay lang," she says. "What's important naman kasi sa akin ngayon is the people that I love and what they think about me." For Nadine, the only opinions that matter are those from the people she cares about—her family and her boyfriend, Chris Bariou, whom she describes as her rock, especially with everything going on in her life right now.

Nadine has reached the last round for the challenge, but she hasn’t had to take a shot yet, which amps up the teasing in the studio as they encourage her to drink when she picks a question asking her to name a celebrity she wouldn’t want to work with. But this girl is so fierce, she knows she won’t back down from any question. So, in answering, she mentions Vice Ganda, sharing that she was really scared of Vice when they first worked together in "Petrang Kabayo" in 2010.

Nadine recalls being around 16 at the time, and since she was still young, she found Vice's brand of humor intimidating for a sensitive, introverted teenager. She couldn't yet process Vice's style of ‘teasing,’ "No'ng nag-shoot kami ng ‘Petrang Kabayo,’ every time na magkaeksena kami, tumatalikod talaga ako kasi ayokong mabunot niya ako."

She was really scared of getting teased by comedians back then, even when her family would take her to comedy bars, "Hindi lang talaga ako comfortable sa fact na tinatawanan ako."  But of course, that's not the case now. Apart from she’s now comfortable with Vice, she’s also grown a lot from that shy girl into someone who’s very confident in herself.
