From being on two different sides of the narrative, we’ve witnessed how Jasmin (Jodi Sta. Maria) and Zandro (Albert Martinez) went on to become to become partners-in-crime as they seek the truth behind what happened to their loved ones and expose the crimes of the notorious Buenavidez family in “Lavender Fields.”
However, as time goes by, the two have grown closer as they get to spend a lot of time together, which made it impossible for Zandro to not develop romantic feelings towards Jasmin and feel jealous towards her ex-flame, Tyrone (Jericho Rosales), especially now that he’s back in her life again. As they get to know each other better, it was inevitable for Tyrone’s name to not be mentioned in some of their conversations, with Zandro asking her quite personal questions that irritated Jasmin in one instance. It was also Tyrone who sometimes caused their misunderstandings, such as when Zandro relayed to her the results of his personal investigation, which indicated that Tyrone sought refuge in China. However, he decided to keep it from Jasmin since he wasn’t sure if he could trust her with any information pertinent to Tyrone as he fears that she still harbors feelings for her.
After their heated confrontation in one of their first face-offs, Jasmin told Zandro to apologize to Tyrone. But Zandro was not keen on doing so unless Tyrone would be able to prove his innocence from the crimes being connected to him. Zandro then expressed his dismay on Jasmin for easily believing in Tyrone despite all the nasty things that he did to her, as well as for her desire to still come close to the Buenavidezes, assuming that it’s because of Tyrone.
Thus, Zandro asked Jasmin which between her heart and mind she’s going to obey this time, as well as reminded her that she would always be Tyrone’s mistress or side-chick.
Regardless if Jasmin still has feelings for Tyrone or already none, Zandro proved that he’s willing to fight for her and protect her from anyone who would dare harm her, even though it would cost his life.
