It’s always fascinating how good actors can completely transform on screen and play roles that are nothing like them in real life. For instance, we see Heather Buenavidez as an insane, woman in "Lavender Fields." But off-screen, Analain Salvador, the actress behind Heather, is nothing like the complicated and very dramatic character. In fact, her most dominant life rule is simple: just be chill.
When asked if she has any curfew rules in an edition of Kapamilya Chat’s “My Rules” Challenge, she casually replied that there’s no set time as long as she gets home safe.
But when it comes to shopping, she sure has a fun mantra. "I-treat ang self after maging baliw," she says, meaning to splurge after working hard as Heather in front of the cameras.
As for self-care, Analain is all about skincare discipline. She swears by always using beauty product remover, since she’s prone to pimples if her makeup isn’t properly washed off. She also believes in giving her face a recovery period, or a time for her skin to breathe and reset. For instance, after a week of wearing makeup, she’ll spend the next week going bare-faced as much as possible.
When asked her rules on jewelry, Analain shares she doesn’t really spend much on accessories, so the pieces you’ll typically see her wearing are mostly gifts, especially from her mom.
When it comes to travel, she prefers spontaneity over strict planning. She finds being too planned a bit stressful, unlike the freedom that comes with impromptu itineraries.
One of the most important rules she lives by is learning to draw a clear line between her work and personal life, something that's become crucial for her, especially with her intense role as a mad kontrabida in "Lavender Fields." She explains, “Let’s say, si Heather, baliw siya—it's my career. Pero si Analain, chill lang."
While Analain isn’t overly strict when it comes to friendships, she believes it’s better to connect with people who share similar values, interests, and dreams. She says, “Masaya i-surround ‘yung self ng mga tao na mataas ang pangarap kasi mas napu-push ka to do better. I have few best friends, but I have a lot of friends. I choose to surround myself with people who have life goals, yung mataas talaga ang pangarap.” For her, being around dreamers keeps her motivated , both personally and professionally.
Show your love for Analain by watching her on "Lavender Fields," weeknights, on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, TV5, and A2Z.
