Jugs Jugueta is admired for his musical prowess as the frontman of the popular OPM rock band Itchyworms and for his innate sense of humor and hosting skills as one of the mainstays of It’s Showtime.
He may not have that well-chiseled physique that some girls are drooling for, but what lies beneath his huggable bod is a big heart for his loved-ones, especially to his beloved wife Andie Aguirre. She may be described as naturally coy, but she has made a few appearances on the noontime program – just like during her husband’s birthday celebrations in 2018 and 2021 and when the It’s Showtime fam held a pre-wedding celebration for them seven years ago.
In her interview for their pre-wedding fete on the show, Andie recalled first meeting him when his band guested at a radio program she used to host. They only regarded one another as friends then since both of them were in different relationships.
That “completely platonic” relationship blossomed into a romantic one in December 2006 when they attended an event together organized by a now-defunct radio station where she used to work. And after seven years of being a couple, they got engaged in 2013 and eventually got married at St. Alphonsus Mary de Liguori Parish in Magallanes, Makati City, on May 30, 2015.
We may not know much about their relationship, but his co-host Vice Ganda somehow gave us a glimpse by describing it as inspiring and cute. “Alam mo, nakaka-inspire ang life n’yong dalawang mag-asawa. Ang cute, ang simple, ang saya. At saka ‘yong mukha n’yo [parang] laging fulfilled. They’re very happy, they’re very simple. I love both of you,” he expressed.
Being together for 16 years, Jugs and Andie’s love and happiness with each other remain evident through their sweet photos together that they share on social media. Aside from being certified foodies and travel buddies, they are happy parents as well to their adorable pets, which includes dogs and turtles.
