Growing up, our parents have instilled in us the value of sharing what we have with our loved ones and other people, especially the less fortunate. However, as we grow older, we have also realized that there are things that we really can’t share.
And in this exclusive video, we compiled the responses of the Kapamilya celebrities whom we asked which among their personal belongings they would never lend out even to the persons/s dearest and closest to them.
Of course, the majority of them responded that it would be the personal stuff that they use in their body since it would definitely be unhygienic, right?
Apparently, “toothbrush” is the top answer, with Pop Rock Royalty Yeng Constantino saying that she couldn’t even muster to share it with her husband, Yan Asuncion. The same goes with “Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11” housemates Rain Celmar, Kolette Madelo, Dingdong Bahan, and JP Cabrera, as well as Darren Espanto and “Showtime Online” U hosts Sheena Belarmino and Marielle Montellano.
“Underwear” came in second, which was the answer of “Showtime Online U” hosts Anne Tenorio and JM Dela Cerna, “PBB Gen 11” alumnae Kai Montinola and Jas Dudley-Scales, and Loisa Andalio.
“PBB Gen 11” housemate Therese Villamor, meanwhile, both mentioned underwear and toothbrush.
“Showtime Online U” hosts Lorraine Galvez and AC Soriano believe that hygiene products and face and body towels shouldn’t be shared as well.
While these celebrities focused on sanitation, there were some who mentioned the things they own that they are not really inclined to share.
For Anji Salvacion, she imparted that it's going to be the cute little pearl necklace given by her brother to her when she went home last summer. It might not be expensive, but it was so meaningful for her since it was the first gift that he ever received from him.
Similar to “PBB Gen 11”’s Jarren Garcia, who would instantly say “no” to someone who would borrow his jewelry. “PBB Gen 11” Big Winner Fyang Smith, has this warning to those who would dare take any of her shoes from her prized collection, “Hiramin mo na lahat, huwag lang shoes ko talaga, like magkakasakitan talaga tayo ‘pag sapatos ko talaga sinuot mo.”
Angela Ken said that it’s going to be her eyeglasses since, apart from the fact that she needs to wear them most of the time due to her blurry vision, their grades were also high, so it may not be useful to others. Meanwhile, Robi Domingo disclosed that he would likely answer "cellphone" if ever he was asked the question in previous years. But now that he’s married, he actually doesn’t care anymore every time his beloved wife has to borrow it.
With how random and spontaneous the question was, it seemed that Patrick Ramirez of “PBB Gen 11” and “Pamilya Sagrado” star Kyle Echarri just uttered the first thing that came to their minds. Patrick joked that, for him, it’s going to be money, yet added a disclaimer that instead of lending it, he will rather give it. On the other hand, Kyle said that it’s probably his passport.
And lastly, both Maymay Entrata and Edward Barber conveyed that they wouldn’t allow anybody to get ahold of the items or mementos that they deem sentimental and special to them.
