Rising star Chole SJ is making waves not only with bold musical choices but also with her unapologetically authentic personality. In an exclusive interview with One Music PH, the young artist opened up about what iis means to be nonchalant in an industry full of pressure.
"Hindi ko din in-expect that people will take it like that," she says about her straightforward demeanor. "Parang growing up and with my past experiences, I just had to be really strong and come out there as myself—no faking it. Going back to my past experiences it molded me to be straightforward, but in respectful way,"
Chloe emphasizes the importance of setting boundaries, especially when navigating both public and personal spaces. "Boundaries don’t mean you don’t love or repect them. You also want to do that for yourself first. There will be people who respect those boundaries," she adds.
Her debut mini-album Chloe Anjeleigh... For Real recently launched under StarPop, is a reflection of that mindset. It revolves around themes of authenticity and falling in love—concepts that mirror Chloe’s fearless approach to life and music.
Alongside her hit singles “FR FR” and “Nonchalant,” the EP features five new tracks: “Iyo,” “Something Right,” “Tanim,” “Dulo ng Bahaghari,” and “Shush.” The mini-album was produced by StarPop label head Roque “Rox” Santos, with “Iyo”—a standout track about discovering true love—composed by Trisha Denise.
