Taylor Swift has officially confirmed her involvement in Toy Story 5, delighting fans with the announcement that she will release a new original song for the highly anticipated animated film.
The surprise reveal came just days after online speculation linked the singer-songwriter to the latest installment of the beloved franchise.

At midnight on June 2 (PHT), Taylor sparked excitement after launching a two-hour countdown on her website. The page featured Toy Story character Jessie on a ranch, while a billboard bearing the initials “TS” with 13 clouds in a blue sky stood prominently on a hill in the background.
The mystery was finally solved when Taylor made the announcement through a Facebook post at 2:00 a.m. (PHT) on June 2.
She revealed that she would be releasing a brand-new original song for Toy Story 5 titled “I Knew It, I Knew You,” scheduled to drop on June 5.
“It’s a Toy Story 🤠 You knew it!” she wrote.
Taylor shared why the project holds a special place in her heart and why the opportunity to write for the franchise felt deeply personal.
“I’ve always dreamed of getting to write for these characters who I’ve adored since I was a 5-year-old kid watching the first Toy Story movie,” she said.
“I fell instantly in love with Toy Story 5 when I was lucky enough to see it in its early stages, and I wrote this song as soon as I got home from the screening. Sometimes you just know, right?” Taylor added.
Aside from the original version, Taylor will also release acoustic and piano renditions of “I Knew It, I Knew You,” giving fans more to look forward to.
