Before they head over to rehearsals again for their performance at Coachella's second weekend, BINI dropped by the Apple Music headquarters in Culver City in Los Angeles to take over Apple Music Radio.
For an hour, BINI played their favorite summer tracks and candidly talked about a lot of things, from their favorites to their newest EP "Signals."
“It was a great experience kasi first time naming gawin 'yung DJ-DJ talaga. Sobrang smooth lang nung flow kanina. Tapos wala ring host so sa amin nakasalalay 'yung show kanina,” said Jhoanna.
Mikha added, “Feeling ko kasi we’re so used to banter with each other, na para bang natural na sa amin na mag-improvise ng topic, ng conversations. Kaya nagulat din 'yung Apple Music team na, 'oh you guys are actually so good at this' kahit first time namin, kasi 'yun nga, parang nagkukuwentuhan lang tayo.”
Fans called Blooms who heard the livecast of the radio praised how smooth the girls were during the radio-hosting gig, especially Mikha who confessed, “I like talking, I like talking about things, mga podcasts feeling ko masaya siya. Di ba nag-podcast tayo dati? I like podcasts talaga kasi you go in-depth about what you want to talk about.”
“Mas confident kami,” said Jhoanna. “Kasi mas conversational siya, unlike sa interviews na question and answer.”
“We really enjoyed it. It’s our first time na magkaroon ng ganung kind of set-up, 'yung parang tayo 'yung nag-takeover sa radio ng isang oras. I think we did great,” Maloi said.
Meanwhile, BINI’s digital numbers are gaining strong momentum after their impressive Coachella debut.
The music video for their latest song "Blush" already reached a million views, and heir Spotify monthly listeners have breached the two million mark. And if you head over to Coachella’s official Instagram account, you’ll see BINI’s video reel with more than 27 million views, next to Justin Bieber's 141 million views.
“We’re really grateful sa lahat ng mga sumuporta,” said Maloi. “Kasi feeling ko malaking part talaga 'yung Blooms namin. Pag meron silang makikita na associated sa amin, parang talagang ina-up nila, nagko-comment sila, at ipinapakilala kami sa ibang tao especially sa mga manonood ng Coachella. Thank you, Blooms, for that.”
For Coachella’s second weekend, BINI is set to perform again at the Mojave Tent at 7:15 a.m. on April 18 (Philippine time), with the festival once again offering a free livestream on YouTube.
