Two of the Philippines’ top pop acts, SB19 and BINI, have announced they are officially joining the global superfan platform Weverse.
BINI, dubbed the “Nation’s Girl Group” and known for hits like “Pantropiko” and “Salamin Salamin,” will launch their community on the app on March 16, followed by the so-called “Kings of P-pop” SB19 on March 19.
While Weverse is well-known among K-pop fans, many Filipinos may be hearing about it for the first time. So what exactly is Weverse, and what does joining it mean for these Filipino acts?
Operated by the Weverse Company under HYBE, the South Korean entertainment giant that manages top K-pop acts such as BTS and SEVENTEEN, Weverse is described as a “global superfan platform” that allows fans worldwide to engage in fandom activities.
With their entry onto Weverse, BINI and SB19 gain new ways to connect with their existing fans while also increasing their visibility to other users, potentially reaching a more global audience. This move also represents a step in promoting Filipino talent on an international space.
Weverse also “provides content and services optimized for fan activities.” Within the app, artists host “communities” that fans can join, giving them access to announcements about activities — such as concerts and ticketing details — as well as exclusive content, including photos and videos.

It also functions as a “communication channel” between artists and fans, enabling stars to post updates, send “DMs” or direct messages, and hold livestreams — offering various way to engage directly with their supporters.

The platform hosts communities for over a hundred artists, ranging from K-pop heavyweights and rising stars to K-drama actors like Byeon Woo-seok and Lee Chae-min. International stars such as Ariana Grande, Megan Thee Stallion and Dua Lipa also maintain communities on Weverse.
Beyond fandom activities, the platform also features the Weverse Shop, which sells artists’ official merchandise to customers worldwide, offering BINI and SB19 fans a space to purchase merchandise as well.
On X, Weverse has teased SB19 fans with “exclusive LIVE streamings, unreleased videos, and daily updates,” while BINI fans were told to look forward to “the vibrant energy and exclusive content BINI will bring only to #Weverse, as well as their interactions with BLOOM all over the world.”

The platform’s significance is clear to the artists themselves. For instance, BINI member Sheena wrote on X, “My stan [account] on Weverse would not believe this,” suggesting she is also a user of the app.
“So so grateful and blessed for everything,” she added, expressing her excitement to interact with fans.
Weverse also features an in-app magazine and hosts the music event Weverse Con Festival.
