It was a full-on fanboy moment for It’s Showtime host and OPM icon Ogie Alcasid after he met American singer-songwriter Josh Groban during the latter’s Manila stop of his tour.

On social media, Ogie shared a photo of himself chatting with the international star, joined by his wife, Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez.

“‘Are you Ogie?’ Josh Groban asks me. I said, ‘Yes.’ I was obviously starstruck and tongue tied. Thank you @mommy_de for the pic,” Ogie wrote.

He went on to thank those who helped make the special encounter happen.

“Thank you @martinnievera for giving an intro. Thank you baba (Regine) for not forgetting to bring the vinyls of Mr. Groban. Thank you @joshgroban for being so kind and humble. God bless you and Congratulations!!” he added.

In another post, Ogie proudly showed off his signed vinyl records where Josh wrote: “To Ogie and Regine, all my love. Josh”

“Ty baba @reginevalcasid and @mommy_de for having these signed!!! Wow!! Fanboy activate!!” Ogie said in a caption.

Fellow celebrities and friends shared their excitement for Ogie as he fulfilled a special meeting with one of his favorite artists.

Josh Groban, who is known for his songs “You Raise Me Up,” “Believe,” “You Are Loved (Don’t Give Up),” among others, brought his GEMS World Tour in Manila last February 18 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

The concert marked his third visit to the Philippines, following his Awake Tour in 2007 and Bridges Tour in 2019.

During the show, Josh shared the stage with some of the country’s top performers such as Regine where they sang “All I Ask of You", Julie Anne San Jose for "Both Sides Now," and Martin Nievera for "What I Did For Love.”
