OPM singers TJ Monterde and KZ Tandingan are back with a new collaborative song, “Hiraya Manawari,” released ahead of their much-anticipated joint concert.
In a video posted on TJ’s official social media page, the couple shared the behind-the-scenes story of the song — from its planning stages to the inspiration behind its heartfelt message.
“I’m trying to write this song and it's not a love song — the usual love song. It’s a song that talks about two people who found each other and share this same and special dream together,” TJ shared in a voice over.
He further explained while revealing the song’s title: “They’re hoping na sana one day maabot nila ang mga pangarap nilang dalawa and hoping and praying and wishing that one day God will give them all the desires of their hearts. This is Hiraya Manawari.”
In the clips, the couple can be seen in discussions with their team, sharing how the song, originally kept in KZ’s music vault, became a perfect match for their upcoming concert, In Between.
“Naghahanap kami ng song ni KZ kasi nga meron tayong concert na gagawin next year which is medyo nakakakaba,” TJ said. “Same time last year ganito rin yung selling (ng tickets). Kanina yung selling ng ‘In Between’ (concert) and yung concept ng concert natin talaga is ‘in between of two worlds’ na kaming dalawa, which is very very iba na rin talaga.”
TJ also shared that a line from KZ’s unfinished song reflected a similar theme to his successful concert series last year.
“Nasulat niya ito mga 2018 pa yung chorus. Habang pinapakinggan namin yung voice note na ‘sa madilim na gabi darating ang araw na di na kailangan ng bulalakaw. ‘Di tayo bibitaw, ako at ikaw, puso na ang siyang sisigaw’ tapos ang pivot line sa chorus niya ‘ang lahat matutupad, Hiraya Manawari,'” TJ told their team.
He added, “Parang ayon yung theme natin di ba for Sariling Mundo and sabi ko na ‘Mayroon ka rin pala noong lyrics na iyon’ so aprang nagmatch siya na oo nga na it was all there all along.”
At the end of the video, TJ was heard saying, “What if hindi naman love song ang gagawin natin? Parang iba naman siya doon sa romantic love. This one, it talks about hope.”
KZ echoed the sentiment, saying, “May your prayers come true an yung mga desires ng puso mo sana magcome true.”
The “Palagi” hitmakers also shared a short clip of themselves singing the chorus. In the comment section, TJ revealed that “Hiraya Manawari” was produced by both him and KZ.
“Can’t wait to hear this full song !😭❤ ️ .Pure love with pure team ❤️❤️❤️ GALING👏,” a fan said.
Another one expressed, “Ito na po yung isang song na nakakaiyak. Thank you po for this song WAITING PO KAMI DITO 2026. HIRAYA MANAWARI ✨.”
TJ and KZ previously released their duet version of TJ’s hit single “Palagi,” which has now garnered over 145 million streams on Spotify.
Last October, the couple officially announced their first-ever joint concert following TJ’s successful “Sarili Nating Mundo” World Tour. Their four-night concert will be held at the SMART Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City from February 6 to February 9, 2026. The first three dates are already sold out, with only limited tickets remaining for Day 4.
