BTS has taken another step toward their much-anticipated return as they officially unveiled the album cover for their fifth full-length album, ARIRANG

On January 19, BigHit Music revealed the cover through its official website, introducing fans to the latest visual chapter in BTS’ musical journey. The album cover features a textured grayscale design with the title ARIRANG written in bold uppercase letters, setting up a solemn yet powerful tone for the record.

Adding to the excitement, the cover subtly includes the silhouettes of all seven members dressed in tuxedos. While their faces are intentionally concealed, the formation quickly drew attention from fans eager to decode every detail. Based on the layout, the back row silhouettes represent Jimin, j-hope, SUGA, and V (left to right), while the front row features Jungkook, RM, and Jin.

Beyond the visuals, the album cover reveal carried an unexpected element that thrilled fans even more. Hidden within the silhouettes are voice messages from each member, unlocked by clicking on their figures, allowing fans to hear personal messages directly from BTS as they prepare for their comeback.

“Hi! BTS will be back on 20 March with the 5th album Arirang,” Jimin said.

Jungkook shared how the album came together, saying, “We shared our feelings with each other as we completed the album including how much we missed you, how much we value you and how excited we are about the future.”

Reflecting on the creative process, j-hope explained, “While working on this album, we thought about what kind of music and stories would be the most BTS-like.”

Jin addressed fans directly with a touching note, saying, “Thanks for always being by our side. What is your ARIRANG?”

The album reveal comes alongside other major announcements for fans worldwide. Pre-sale concert tickets for BTS’ world tour, scheduled from April to September 2026, are now available, with further details for most tour stops expected to be announced soon.

Earlier this week, BTS also shared more insights about ARIRANG during a Weverse live broadcast. The group confirmed that the album will include 14 tracks and described its tracks that carry a deep emotional weight shaped by the time they spent apart. Jungkook described the album as deeply personal, noting that he listens to it daily, while V shared that the songs take on a different energy when performed. SUGA hinted that some previously unreleased solo material may also be included.

The album’s logo reflects the members’ direct involvement in its visual identity. During a song camp in Los Angeles, Jungkook began sketching ideas that later influenced the final design.

“I did like four sketches,” Jungkook recalled. “I sent them, and the company developed it a lot.”

The logo visually appears as ใ…‡ใ„นใ„น, the initial consonants of ARIRANG (์•„๋ฆฌ๋ž‘), reinforcing its cultural and symbolic roots.

RM shared that the album title emerged after long reflection, particularly during his time in the military. When the members reunited, they found themselves looking back on their beginnings and the journey that shaped them as artists.

“The keyword ‘ARIRANG’ came up,” RM said. “Honestly, the meaning is different for each person, because there are many ways you can interpret Arirang’s lyrics. I think it’s about sadness, longing, and love.”

J-hope added that the title reflects both their history and their desire to perform together again, saying, “[ARIRANG] feels like our roots. From that way, ARIRANG was what tied it all together really well.”

RM further explained that the album captures both joy and sorrow experienced during their time apart, including missing everyday life, ARMY, and one another.

“Since ARIRANG contains the joy and sorrow of life, that kind of sentiment will be tied to the music,” he said. “It ties it all up together well.”

BTS’ album ARIRANG is set for release on March 20 across all streaming platforms, with physical copies available at select retailers. The group also confirmed that they will return to the Philippines as part of their world tour, with concerts scheduled on March 13 and 14, 2027.
