A much-anticipated comeback might be in the works for second-generation K-pop legends Girls’ Generation (SNSD), following their recent 18th anniversary last August 5.

In a vlog posted by member Yuri on her YouTube channel, the group—made up of Tiffany, Taeyeon, Sooyoung, Sunny, Yuri, Yoona, Seohyun, and Hyoyeon—gathered to celebrate both Tiffany’s birthday and their debut milestone.

More than just a reunion, the get-together sparked excitement among fans as Yuri revealed that the members discussed plans for a concert tour and a new album in time for their 20th anniversary in 2027.

In the vlog posted on Yuri’s YouTube channel, a sudden discussion was opened up to the members about their 20th year celebration.

“Suddenly, the 20th anniversary project meeting begins,” Yuri said in the vlog caption. “SONE (their fandom name), are you curious what meeting we had? The meeting was serious, but we had a good time too!”

“SONE, are you excited about the 20th anniversary? So are we!” she added.

Parts of the video showed the girls openly sharing their thoughts about a future project. Seohyun expressed how much they appreciated fan demand, saying, “Because the fans want it so much.”

Sooyoung chimed in, “If opinions come together fast, we can quickly prepare the album.”

They also showed a clip of Tiffany attentively listening to her fellow members’ suggestions. A caption read: “We all know how important this 20th anniversary is not only to us but also to you all, so we are having a deep conversation.”

Yuri also hinted at early discussions for a potential 10-city tour with a message of gratitude: “Until the day (that we meet again) please stay healthy!”

Ending the video, Yuri captioned it as Sooyoung took a photo with a mini version of their molar bong lightstick.

“SONE, ready to wave those lightsticks again? Hope the day to wave them again comes soon! Nothing’s set yet but we’re hustling on the meeting. Please wait a bit more!” she wrote.

She added a congratulatory message for their fans who have been always waiting for them.

“Congratulations on Girls’ Generation and SONE turning 18! The past 18 years were made by you, SONE! Girls’ Generation knows very well that without SONEs, we cannot exist!” Yuri expressed.

“SONE, you’re now like family to us or even more! We’ll do our best to match your endless support. We’ll have plenty of meetings and prepare thoroughly. Then, please stay healthy until our next family gathering. We miss you! Now, forever and always, Girls’ Generation!”

The group’s get together made fans get more excited as it has been three years since their last comeback with their seventh Korean studio album Forever 1. The meeting during Tiffany’s recent birthday celebration was also a promise kept by the “Heartbreak Hotel” singer to their fans.

During the finale show of her Here For You fan concert in Manila, she addressed fans’ hopeful questions about the Girls’ Generation world tour and new music in 2027.

“I’m always ready for a great time. I am seeing them next week so I will ask them. As you all know, I'm a part of Girls' Generation but different management. [But] I will ask. I am just being real," she said.
