Huntrix went up, up, up to the top of the Billboard Hot 100.
The inspirational pop track from the film "KPop Demon Hunters" reached No. 1 on the chart dated Aug. 16, based on a preview released Tuesday, rising one spot from its position in the previous week.
"Golden" is the ninth song related to K-pop to top the Hot 100 chart, following six BTS songs "Savage Love (Laxed – Siren Beat)" with Jawsh 685 and Jason Derulo, "Dynamite," "Life Goes On," "Butter," "Permission To Dance" and "My Universe" with Coldplay as well as Jungkook's "Seven (featuring Latto)" and Jimin's "Like Crazy," Billboard reported.
Among female acts, the fictional Huntrix is the first to top the Hot 100 in 24 years, since Destiny's Child led the chart with "Bootylicious" in 2001, according to Billboard.
The Hot 100 ranks the most popular songs across all genre based on streaming, radio airplay and sales data.
This marks the latest milestone for the film, coming shortly after "KPop Demon Hunters" debuted at No. 4 on Netflix's list of the most popular English-language films of all time.
"Golden," performed by voice actors Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami, has also recently inspired numerous K-pop artists to release covers of the song, known for its soaring chorus.
The entire soundtrack, meanwhile, has peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 album chart, making it the highest-charting soundtrack of 2025.
Released on June 20, "KPop Demon Hunters" tells the story of the female trio Huntrix as they balance their superstar careers with a secret life fighting demons.
Their double life gets complicated when they face off against the Saja Boys, a rival boy band whose members are actual demons.
