SB19 thrilled fans by performing a dance cover of the hit track "Soda Pop" from the Netflix animated film KPop Demon Hunters. The song is performed in the movie by the fictional boy group Saja Boys.

SB19 posted their dance cover on TikTok which has already garnered over 1.2 million views as of this writing.

"Saja Boys #SB19," the group wrote in the caption.

The video instantly gained numerous reactions.

"Does the SB in SB19 stand for Saja Boys? Ginalingan niyo as always 😍," Netflix Philippines commented.

Fellow P-Pop group BGYO also joined the trend, posting their own dance cover of "Soda Pop" on TikTok. Their video has already amassed 723K views as of this writing.

KPop Demon Hunters voice actress Arden Cho commented on BGYO's video, saying: "Amazing! Thank you!!!🔥🔥🤩."

"Soda Pop" is performed by Andrew Choi, Neckwav, Danny Chung, Kevin Woo, and samUIL Lee for KPop Demon Hunters.

As reported by Netflix’s Tudum, producer Ian Eisendrath said the creative vision behind the song was to "create one of those super bubblegum-y K-pop boy band songs in the style of a song like 'Butter' [by BTS].”

In the film, the twist lies in who's performing it. "It’s the demons who are evil, but they decide to masquerade as a K-pop boy group, and just be the most appealing, innocent, charming people that have ever been seen performing a K-pop song," Ian explained.

In the movie, Saja Boys makes a striking entrance at an outdoor market, quickly drawing in crowds of captivated fans. Ian shared: "All of a sudden, everybody is transfixed by them."

Though Saja Boys' appearance and sound present them as loveable heartthrobs—Romance, Abs, Baby, Mystery, and lead vocalist Jinu (voiced by Ahn Hyo-seop)—the lyrics hint at something unsettling.

"If you really look at them, the underpinning is like, 'We’re going to devour you. We're going to eat you up. We are going to drink you up' because that's what the demons do,” Ian pointed out.

He went on: "They feed on souls. So it was like, 'How do we say that in a way that appears [like an] innocent, fun, K-pop bop, but actually it’s expressing who these people really are and what they’re really after?'"

The KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack debuted in the top 10 of the Billboard 200.
