MANILA — It’s not yet 2026 but the new year is looking hectic and loaded for Filipino-American singer and America’s Got Talent (AGT) Season 20 grand winner Jessica Sanchez.
Jessica is in town to ring in the new year at the Marriott Grand Ballroom for the New Year’s Even countdown party with homegrown legends Sarah Geronimo, Bamboo and Cup of Joe.
This isn’t Jessica’s first time to celebrate the new year’s eve in the Philippines, but this particular event is extra special for her.
"This is my first time singing after AGT and also first time after giving birth so this is a big show for me"
She added, “I honestly can’t thank the Filipino people enough for supporting me throughout my career I feel like that is the reason why I am in this position and why I made it all the way to the end of AGT so I'm so thankful and im so excited in welcoming this 2026!”
While nine-months pregnant during the AGT run, her mom would always show her the immense support of Filipinos on social media.
And that’s what exactly she’s bringing on the New Year’s Even countdown show tomorrow night, “Since we did the whole AGT and it was a monumental moment for me I wanted to kind of bring that moment this new year!"
If that’s not enough, Jessica shared some of the big things she has planned for 2026 - “So I will be releasing an album next year, it's new music, and I plan on collaborating on some Filipino artists and maybe doing a Tagalog song and Im also doing a big solo concert here in May!"
The month of May will be a booked-and-busy month for her because aside from the solo concert at the Araneta Coliseum, Jessica was personally invited by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr and First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos to be one of the special performers at the ASEAN Summit in Cebu.
During the courtesy call in Malacañang Palace, Jessica said “I think I need some time to really plan out what I’m gonna be singing because I’ll be representing the Filipinos so I wanna take my time figuring out my song choices.”
