As the date draws near for the finale concert of her husband TJ Monterde’s Sarili Nating Mundo world tour, KZ Tandingan looked back on the almost unbelievable journey she and TJ have gone through this year along with their concert director John Prats. They are ready to close the year with 40 concert performances all over the world.
“Tina-tawa tawa ko lang pero sa totoong buhay, na-se-sepanx na rin ako. Kasi siyempre kahit na nag-start lang kami mag-show nung February, yung brainstorming, yung pagbuo ng show started last year pa eh. So literal na parang buong taon halos. Magkakamukha na nga, magkakapalit palit na kami ng mukha! So ngayon pa lang, pag pinag-uusapan namin na limang shows to go before the end of the tour this year, parang nakaka-sepanx na. But overall, I’m personally just feeling grateful that I get to do this with you and you and the entire team,” she shared during their Sarili Nating Mundo last leg presscon.

Having wowed their fans in ten countries already, with the finale show set to happen on December 2 in the city of Abu Dhabi, KZ admitted that they always give it their all on stage in order to make each and every show special for their fans.
“Any effort to make it special? Oo naman, every single time. Siguro, particularly sa set ko, ang ginagawa ko, para siyang customized, kasi yung mga spiels ko palagi, hindi ko alam kung nakikita niyo sa TikTok, puro kabalahuraan ko yung nag-te-trending at hindi performances. Actually, hindi namin siya inisip na maging parte ng show, na people would be excited to see and watch, but it became part of the show na depende sa topak din ng mga taong kasama namin sa show yung mga nangyayari sa show,” she explained.

The Sarili Nating Mundo concert performer also shared the secret to their sold out shows this year lies with what happens on and off stage.
“So parang every show is different because of the energy, the interaction, and in terms of the production side of it. Si TJ and si direk (John Prats) and the entire team, talagang they always work hand-in-hand. They never settle for kung ano na yung naging magandang performance. They always both strive to surpass kung ano yung magandang performance na nagawa na nila,” she added.
After typhoon Tino struck parts of the country earlier this month which led to destruction, flooding in Cebu, KZ and TJ extended financial assistance to the victims of the Cebu flooding by giving a ₱1M donation to Angat Buhay. Their management Cornerstone Entertainment shared how the amount was made possible through a recent social media post.
They wrote, “This generous donation was made possible through the overwhelming kindness of our 'kababayans,' who contributed during the Sarili Nating Mundo events in Perth, Sydney, and New Zealand, along with the Monterdes' and the Sarili Nating Mundo Team’s contributions from their tour. While the funds were initially intended to support both Visayas and Mindanao, the couple has chosen to focus first on Visayas, where the recent Typhoon Tino has caused additional destruction and suffering. They are committed to raising more funds for those affected in Mindanao, recognizing that Visayas is currently in greater need."
