P-pop sensation SB19 has released "Burn The Flame," the theme song for the international championship of online game Honor of Kings.
The five-member group — Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken and Justin — were tapped as official music artists for the Honor of Kings International Championship (KIC) 2025, which will take place in Manila this November.
On Sunday, "Burn the Flame" was unveiled — a hip-hop and rock fusion track that embodies the "passion, perseverance and the thrill of battle" of the 16 teams vying for the championship title.
The song captures the fiery spirit of competitive gaming through hard-hitting rap verses and explosive high notes, according to a press release.
Giving the track a local flavor, it features Filipino percussion instruments such as the kulintang, woven into a modern electronic production.
The song comes in both English and Taglish (a mix of Tagalog and English) versions, along with instrumental and karaoke tracks that invite fans to sing along.
An accompanying music video will be released "soon."
The initial battles of the KIC 2025 are set to run from November 14 to 18 at the Shooting Gallery Studios in Makati, followed by the knockout stage from November 20 to 23.
The tournament's final round will be held on November 28 and 29 at Ayala Malls Manila Bay in Parañaque City, culminating in the Grand Finals on November 30.
The winning team will get US$ 1 million, an exclusive in-game skin and the coveted title of KIC 2025 Champion.
Developed by TiMi Studio Group, Honor of Kings has grown into one of the world's most popular multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) games, boasting over 200 million registered users and more than 100 million daily players worldwide.
