Before flying out to Australia to start the final leg of his Sarili Nating Mundo world tour, OPM artist TJ Monterde and his wife KZ Tandingan invited the local media for a presscon last October 3, Friday to share their plans for the rest of the year. TJ and KZ will be performing at the last five concerts to be held in Australia, New Zealand, and Abu Dhabi.

During the presscon, the couple shared some of their most unforgettable (and sometimes unbelievable) moments with fans during the past 35 shows they’ve staged in- and outside the country. TJ revealed his top answer happened in one of their most recent shows.
“First to come to mind would be last week, parang ganun, may nagpa-picture sa amin, babae na naka-shorts siya tapos may tattoo siya dito (pointing to his upper thighs) na mukha namin (laughs). Isa yun sa pinaka-ooh ang galing nito, kakaiba. Isa yun sa unique sa akin na so far naisip ko,” he admitted.

The "Sarili Nating Mundo" singer also admitted that going on tour and meeting his fans from all over the world made him realize just how life-changing his music was, because of the feedback he would receive after the show. “May iba, lalapit sa amin, tapos sasabihin talaga nila upfront, ‘You know what, let me tell you this, you just saved a 17-year marriage.’ May mga ganun. So yun yung mga times na grabe ito, kakaiba ito. And marami sila, all throughout the shows that we did,” he shared.

For KZ, standout memories for her during the tour was when fans would get creative with their handmade signs for them that they bring to the show. “This is one of those times na parang unique to every stop is meron silang sari-sarili nilang sign. So the more creative the sign is, mas madali naming napapansin. Tapos sinusulat nila dun yung mga ginagawa nila. Tapos yung isa sa mga nabasa ko yung, ‘Mag-pa-picture ka sa akin kasi nagbenta kami ng kambing para lang makabili kami ng VIP ticket ganyan, ganyan.' So I think isa yun,” she recalled.

The couple both agree that they are also in awe of fans who really make the effort to travel long distances just to catch their show multiple times.
“Siyempre sa 35 shows na nagawa na namin, merong mga iba talaga na tawag namin sa kanila ang o-OA. Nanuod na sila ng SNM ng mga seven times, may eight times, ganyan, ganyan. Tapos gumagawa sila ng attendance checklist. Tapos every time na nandun sila, i-che-check namin yung attendance kung saan sila um-attend. Tapos mag-pi-picture kami. Yun yung mga one of the fondest memories with fans,” KZ added.
